Evy has a couple of BIG problems. First, her orphaned moose calf is causing her a world of trouble. Her mom is ready to lock him up and throw away the key. Second, Evy discovers that her mom's art dealer is being less than honest with them. Even worse, he's purposefully destroying her mom's confidence in her art. How can Evy prove his dishonesty? Maybe with a little help from her friends, both horses and humans - and one very rambunctious moose calf. In fact, maybe moose trouble is exactly what her family needs!
ANGELA DORSEY currently lives on Vancouver Island and is thoroughly enjoying the ocean breezes, awesome hiking, and lack of snow! In the past, she has lived in a number of small towns throughout B.C., and loved them all.
She loves hiking, traveling, and animals, and has a tendency to name her pets after things that remind her of her coastal home, such as Misty, Raven, and Cedar.
Angela writes novels, screenplays, and non-fiction, and has a number of literary publications (short stories, poems, and postcard stories) and articles published as well.
Between the moose drama (and here I thought calves and goat kids were bad—they have nothing on a moose calf!) and continued investigation on Edward coming to a head, this book was so exciting! And while it was kind of mean what Evy and Kestrel did to Edward he totally deserved it and it was so funny how the horses and even Tumpoo got involved in getting him to “confess.” I’m also really happy that Kestrel knows about Evy now as I wasn’t sure if the author was going to keep that a secret the whole way through or not.
And also we got another tidbit about Evy’s mom’s secret and what in the world is going on with that?!? I can’t say much due to spoilers but suffice it to say what little was further revealed just adds more and more questions on what happened and is going on—normally I’m good at guessing this stuff, but I honestly have no idea where this is going! Hopefully we’ll get more concrete facts soon because I’m super intrigued by this.
Very interested to see where things go next!

I bought the first couple of books in the series for my granddaughter for Christmas, and in the process, accidentally purchased the entire series on my Kindle. So I've been reading them. And am thinking seriously about purchasing hard copies to share with all my grandchildren. There are great lessons learned in each book, and a lot of understanding of animals. These chapter books are great for third or fourth grade and up. Each book stands by itself, though related to the ones that came before. The history is explained well enough that a person could read the book without having to have read others in the series, and the books have self contained conclusions.
Still I have enjoyed reading it ,Thankyou for all your stories.I Lookforwed to reading more,I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm that loves to read
I'll still continue the series. It gets a bit repetitive and annoying when Evy and her mother have such poor communication skills, but I'm curious to find out "Laticia's" secrets.
