When Evy's mom decides to take a trip to the city, Evy is thrilled. Finally, she'll get to investigate some of her mom's mysteries. But then her mom tells her she must stay behind. Yeah, right! With the help of some mustangs, Evy stows away in the back of her mom's borrowed truck and heads out on the wildest ride of her life, where she'll meet a foal in trouble and a horse who looks like an angel. She'll find adventure, a new friend, and some answers - answers that Evy has been seeking for a very long time!
ANGELA DORSEY currently lives on Vancouver Island and is thoroughly enjoying the ocean breezes, awesome hiking, and lack of snow! In the past, she has lived in a number of small towns throughout B.C., and loved them all.
She loves hiking, traveling, and animals, and has a tendency to name her pets after things that remind her of her coastal home, such as Misty, Raven, and Cedar.
Angela writes novels, screenplays, and non-fiction, and has a number of literary publications (short stories, poems, and postcard stories) and articles published as well.
Finally some secrets are revealed! Not much but it’s a start!
I was nervous when Evy was wandering around Vancouver at night by herself but thankfully nothing happened, phew. Missed hanging out in the wilderness but the “answers” were more then worth the change of scenery.

Language: oh my gosh; sucked
Other: a girl can communicate with horses telepathically and feel/experience their emotions
It was cool that we finally got a bit of a closer look at what's going on with Evy's mother. Still feels like it could be done in fewer a bit longer books, although I do enjoy these short reads as well. It just gets old when the "Hi I'm Evy, I can talk to horses, remember X cool adventure when I unlocked Y part of my ability thanks to Z"
A stowaway road trip story in which the main character not only gets a chance to see the world outside of her sheltered upbringing, but gather first clues to her family history.
