Path of Power the Book of Dawn and Dusk is a brilliant story which will travel to vivid locations with terrifying mobsters. It is one of the most unique fantasy stories out there, yet with all the comfortable and familiar aspects of fantasy we have come to know and love. Monsters like “The Balarto” are so terrifying they will stay with you long after you've put down the book.

The cover was a good indication of how dark and frighteningly brutal some parts of the story are. Yet no matter how dark the story gets you can’t help but feel an air of hope. Alexander's constant and fierce determination to defeat darkness and the forces of evil are so inspiring that hope stays longer with you than trepidation.

My love for this story spreads farther than just the amazing storyline! The characters are so wonderful! Helena is so tough and badass! Merrick is absolutely hilarious! And Alexander just forces hope to blossom inside you even though at some parts you are afraid he might be losing his way. I can’t wait to see what happens.

All I want to say is that the Balarto is the coolest fantasy villain ever!
