Very interesting account of the rise to fame of Rupert Murdoch. Read this to get the background story, then follow it up with Murdoch: The Great Escape (Belfield, Hird, Kelly), to get an insight into the business world of the man who is undoubtedly the most influential man to ever come out of Australia.

Barefaced Cheek wasn't brilliant in my view, but the knowledge I gained from it made Murdoch: The Great Escape all the more engrossing. Most intriguingly, goodreads doesn't have any record of Murdoch: The Great Escape, which was a spin-off from a BBC Compass investigation into Murdoch's escape from financial ruin in the early 90s. That one is a five star read, but unfortunately I can't review it on goodreads.
