They call him Apollo, and seriously, it's easy to see why. With his golden, sun-kissed curls and a body chiseled like a Greek god, every girl on campus wants him. Every girl except me.
At least, that's what I keep telling myself.
I shouldn't even look in his direction. Not when I'm destined to join Beta Phi Chi – and he's the ex of our horrible sorority president. Seriously, rule number YOU NEVER MESS WITH A SISTER'S EX.
But avoiding Apollo? Yeah, that's a Herculean task. For one thing, he practically "kidnaps" me. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but he does take me on the ride of my life. Also, our houses share a backyard, so his heart-melting smile, blue eyes, and tempting swagger are in my face 24/7. Even when I can avoid him, I can't get him out of my mind.
Do I risk my spot in the sorority and my family's approval for a chance at something forbidden? They say forbidden fruit is the sweetest, don't they?
Damn, I think I might need a taste.
Welcome to my crazy college life, where nothing's ever simple, and falling in love wasn't part of the syllabus.

FANTASY MEETS REALITY IN THIS ENTERTAINING FIERY PASSIONATE ROMANCE
Apollo is a fast-paced read with characters that spring to life with fun, clever banter and vivid scene descriptions. A romance that’s taboo with fiery passion a thunderstorm of emotions that lures you in to learn what happens next.
Story takes place at Athens University in Georgia where pledges try to join a fraternity or sorority. Apollo’s role as recruitment chairman of Olympus House is to make sure pledges pay attention to him. Greek God names are given to pledges who make it into the fraternity based on their personalities. Laurel is following in the footsteps of the women in her family by pledging to Beta Phi Chi. She is drawn to Apollo’s spellbinding blue eyes. Their first meet is comical, while intense desires swirl around them. President of Beta Phi Chi, his ex-girlfriend, bans any romance between them. They face a few bumps on their journey to a happy forever.
An inspiring read that combines fantasy with reality. Was left craving more at the end. Backstories helped me form a stronger connection with the characters. Loved this storyline. The author does an excellent job incorporating Greek mythology into his writing. Additionally, he does a great job of exposing the downside of college life. The authenticity of Laurel and Apollo’s romance is beautifully portrayed in this read. Received a pre-release copy of this book. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Apollo is the first book of author Eddie Cleveland’s new Frat God Series. The 1st book in the series follows the story of Apollo and Laurel. Two students at Athens University. Apollo is a member of the Phi Alpha Nu (PAN) fraternity and Laurel is a 4th generation legacy pledge at the Beta Phi Chi sorority. These two have a “meet cute” involving fraternity pledges and a “litter”. The mutual attraction takes off from there. The challenges they face include Apollo’s ex-girlfriend who is the Sorority President of Beta Phi Chi and Laurel’s mother’s expectation that she continue the legacy of being a Beta Phi Chi sister that was started four generations ago. The author does an excellent job of putting the reader in Laurel’s shoes and the anxiety experienced when trying to meet parental expectations and following your heart. As well as dealing with Apollo’s ex. The author also did an excellent job of setting the stage for the series by not only introducing the supporting characters but providing the Greek mythology background. I look forward to the next story in this series. Though, that said – I do hope we get to see the ex-girlfriend dealing with the consequences of her behavior. After what she did to Laurel, I think her punishment should have been harsher. 😉
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Laurel & Logan (A.K.A. Apollo). When these two first meet it is the beginning of pledging frat houses. Laurel thinks that she isn't getting a bid for the house that her grandmother started and her mother attended. When she learns she is given a bid it is after she has met Apollo and really wants to see more of him. Apollo hasn't done the whole girlfriend thing since he first got to college and found his then girlfriend cheating on him. Too bad he still has to see her because she is president of his mirror house (the girls house). When he sees Laurel though there is something about her that makes him want more. Can they find a HEA or will Logan's past make a future impossible?
This is an amazing book. This author hit is out of the park. It will have you hooked from the first work to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Frat Gods series. In this book, Apollo is returning to college and is helping the new pledges join the Frat house. One day while out with the pledges, he sees Laurel and the basically kidnap her and take her to the top of Mount Olympus, where the frat and sorority houses are. Laurel is joining the sorority house following in her mother, grandmother and great grandmother's footsteps. Laurel feels like there is so much pressure to join and follow the path her mother wants for her. Laurel is also very attracted to Apollo, but he is the ex of the girl in charge of the sorority. I loved this book. I liked the characters of Apollo and Laurel, they really were perfect for each other. I thought Juno was funny and i hope she gets her own story too. Eddie's books are great and this is another one that i am sorry ended. i can't wait for more books in this series
I received this book as an ARC and this is my opinion. I must admit to being hesitant at first about this book because of it being named Apollo. However the blurb had me intrigued. I was hooked right away. I mean how can you not want to read more when the heroine of the story gets carried around by sorority guys on a sex pillow on a stretcher? The book has it all humor, heat, comradarie, it's even got the entitled mean girls and hazing. Laurel suffers the torment of the senior sorority girls as she pledges. Laurel hides her budding romance with Apollo (former flame of Queen Mean Girl). Apollo makes it his mission to show Laurel a good time by surprising her with thoughtful dates. But with a two houses full of people watching them like a hawk can they have their forbidden relationship and get Laurel into her sorority? This was a great read and a real page turner for me. I highly reccomend this book.
A new series from Eddie and it does not disappoint. What a fantastic beginning to what is hopefully a new college romance series based on a set of college sorority and fraternity houses set up on what's known as Mount Olympus, where all the college guys are named after Greek Gods. Our first instalment focuses on Apollo and side note, beautiful cover!
Apollo first lays eyes on Laurel and it's almost Insta love at first sight. There is immediate chemistry however the problem is that Laurel is a legacy sorority pledge and the president of her sorority is none other than Apollo's ex. Trying to keep their growing attraction under wraps will prove to be a massive struggle and along with some beautiful tender moments, there was also some harsh truths and surprising events that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved this story and would highly recommend.
Eddie brings us back into the world of college, frats and fun! In this book we get the pledging process and to meet anew group of characters. Let me tell you this first one does not disappoint. Each member of the fraternity gets named for a Greek God who they most closely represent. We get to see pranks, fun little games they can play and the connections that one house can have with another. I already know who I want as the next book, but you need to find out which one you want.
Apollo and Laurel are a great start for this series. I loved that even though Apollo was super good looking, he wasn't the overboard annoying type of a guy. I loved the Laurel was trying to find her spot in college and stay true to herself. I felt the whole spectrum on this story, embarrassment, happy, melting, sad, heartbreak and love, not in that order though lol. I do know once I started I could not stop reading it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!! Eddie this book was amazing!!
I received an arc of this book. It is a great book about college life with Greek Gods and Goddesses fraternity and sorority. The main 2 characters end up falling in love with help from brothers and sisters in their groups. The head sorority woman is a mean girl who hazes everyone who does not match what she considers the way all women should look. She and her assistant end doing a life threatening hazing to a sorority pledge sister. The pledge would be a 4th generation Beta Phi Chi as her great grandmother, grandmother, and mother were all members. Laurel changed her major from business to botany as botany is her love. The dean wants to close the sorority because of the hazing that Corrine did to Laurel. Laurel stepped up and asked the dean to suspend the sorority for a year and have Corrine leave the sorority forever because of the hazing.
Apollo is the first book of the Frat God series by Eddie. Apollo is a member of the Phi Alpha Nu (PAN) at Athens University in hot Georgia. Laurel is on her way up the hill towards work/dorms when a bunch of pledges and Apollo try to pick her up onto a litter, which Laurel calls a sex pillow on a stretcher. Laurel is a 4th generation Beta Phi Chi who finds out with Apollo they mixed up her pledge card and needs to hurry to the sorority house. Apollo happens to be the ex to the President of Beta Phi Chi, who declares before the first get together no hook ups and no dating ex's. Apollo and Laurel sneak around trying to figure out their relationship without retaliation on Laurel. When the hazing goes to far will love win....
I am so excited for this series. Wonder how many Gods we will have.
3.5 stars I had a hard time rating Apollo. I think this was one of those it’s not you, it’s me things. It seemed so heavily focused on frat/sorority life that their relationship build up, the falling in love (versus lust), was lacking.
Apollo isn’t the take charge, confident, alpha hero I’m used to from Eddie. I don’t dislike it but it took some getting used to. Apollo is super sweet and attentive. He almost seems too sweet to be real.
Laurel is an everyday heroine. She has issues she needs to work through (self image as well as self awareness) which makes her incredibly relatable.
Greek mythology was woven in really well. I kind of want to read some of it now.
Even though it isn’t one of my favorites from Eddie, it’s worth the read and I can’t wait for the next one.
This is a new series about college life. This first book is the story about Apollo and Laurel.
I felt the connection with these characters. The author does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. I felt Laurel’s angst when she was being targeted by the president of Beta Phi Chi and I felt the concern of Apollo when he finds out the things that Laurel was put through.
I have read a lot of books by this author, and I really liked most of them. This book did not grab me like most of his others. One thing lacking in this book was kink scenes. Eddie can write a hot and steamy scene. Although there were kink scenes, they were not as intense as his other books. It felt more like a standard romance.
I do recommend this book to others, and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
A new series and Apollo is a wonderful start! Apollo is a member of a fraternity situated on Olympus Hill and all the members get names based on Greek Gods. In Appolo's case, he really does look like his name's sake and when Laurel sets eyes on him, she really feels like she is meeting an ancient Greek God. Laurel is pledging Beta Phi Chi sorority, a sorority where she would be the fourth generation in her family to become a member, that is if she gets in or really wants to be a member. To complicate matters, the president of the Sorority is Apollo's ex and while hazing is supposed to be against university policy, this "mean girl" just can't help herself and Laurel has become her #1 target. This was an easy read, and I can't wait to see what "brother" is up next in this new series.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
This book kicks off a new series. I love the idea of the frat house being Mythology themed with the guys' names being example of mythological characters as in example Apollo. I really liked Apollo and Laurel. Man does Laurel have so much pressure on her as she enters her college life. Her sorority is a lot of her stress. There is one character in this one that is truly a nasty piece of work. She's is the type of person I really loathe. I hate bullies. I liked that the friendship Laurel has with Juno. I really like the frat house because they don't haze the new pledges. Boy do they have good natured fun though! I'm really excited for more from this series with more from the the Frat and Laurel's new friends.
Laurel is a fourth generation legacy even if she definitely doesn't want to be!! On her first day of college, she meets Apollo, and boy, does he live up to his Greek name sake! The pair have an instant attraction to each other and are both looking forward to seeing each other again, that is until Laurel meets the president of her new sorority who also happens to be Appolps ex and deems him off limits to anyone. (Cue queen bee bitch)
The chemistry between Apollo and Laurel was absolutely spot on especially when the get their spoce on 🥵.
This book was the perfect quick read and a perfect introduction into a new series. I can't wait for more in this series! Im gonna be patiently waiting for Juno (Laurels BFF) story
The pressures of college, family expectations and “rush” all coalesce into a tough time for our characters. Laurel is a fourth generation Beta Phi Chi, or will be if she makes it through initiation. She doesn’t exactly fit in, and her closest ally Juno is in the same boat, and leaves the sorority not too far into the challenge.
Apollo is an upper classman in the associated fraternity. He is off-limits because he is an ex of one of the main sorority girls. Hi is also very creative, and his twin sister is in Beta Phi Chi too.
An interesting story of college antics, and young romance.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
Laurel is attending Athens University and is trying to maintain the tradition of the other woman in her family by being accepted to the Beta Phi Chi sorority. If that isn’t challenging enough the other roadblock, she is facing is the feelings she has for Apollo. He is the ex-boyfriend of her sorority’s president who wouldn’t hesitate to decline her acceptance strictly because they are together.
Apollo is a member of Olympus House and his first meeting with Laurel was both entertaining and unforgettable. He understands the lengths that his ex would pursue to keep them apart but some rewards just might be worth the risk.
I enjoyed seeing Laurel and Apollo fight to be together and I am looking forward to seeing where this series goes.
Laurel is joining Beta Phi Chi, the same sorority her mom, grandmother and great grandmother belonged to. Apollo belongs to Olympus House, a fraternity that is next door to the sorority house. Apollo meets Laurel when his pledges carry Laurel on a makeshift litter to her sorority. What a great story with a corn maze, mean bull and a crazy ex. Laurel's friend Juno is a hoot. The guys of Olympus House watch out for each other and have fun. Beta Phi Chi has a witchy leader who is evil and turns to dangerous events that have drastic consequences. Love Apollo's twin sister Diana who tries to protect Laurel as much as she can. Great story!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is a great start to a new series. As this book kicks-off this new series we get introduced to an intriguing cast of characters. A college romance series based on a set of college sorority and fraternity houses set up on what's known as Mount Olympus, where all the college guys are named after Greek Gods. Apollo and Lauren have an instant connection and sizzling hot chemistry. There is drama, angst, lust, sizzling heat and laugh out loud moments. The story flowed effortlessly with a few twists and turns that will keep you glued from start to finish.
First of all, I just love Eddie's writing. Second, I love that he makes us learn something while binging an exciting story. I mean, I really didn't know much about Greek Mythology just because it wasn't my thing. But, now, I am kind of intrigued.
If you like low angst, high heat with some drama thrown in, well, this one is for you. I loved Laurel and Apollo's story. These two were hot for each other from the start.
I may have missed it, but, I don't think we ever got to know what Apollo's real name was. Maybe we will find out in the next book.
Kudos Eddie! What a fantastic start to a new series.
After reading his other college series I knew I had to read this one and I’m glad I did!
I loved the story, the dialogue, and the characters plus how he incorporated Greek mythology into college life.
However, I gave it four stars bc the pacing and the main relationship felt rushed and there wasn't much of a resolution in the end. I felt like the author could have clarified what happens after the main villain goes down and other loose ends in the epilogue.
All in all, it's really perfect if you're looking for a fresh new college romance, and I will definitely be back for the next book!
Apollo and Laurel both go to Athens University, he is in the frat Pan and she is pledging for Beta Phi Chi, when they first meet its hilarious and not what you would expect. There are rules in place that may keep them apart. When they decide to sneak are around there are moments for them where they are having but there is danger as well. With her being a legacy for her sorority she has to decide if she wants to join or not. But with all the fun moments there are some not so fun and very mean moments. From beginning to end this book will pull you in and keep you glued to your Kindle and keep you wanting more. This book you all the feels and so much more, I can't wait to read the next.
E. Cleveland delivers a thrilling start to this series, featuring Apollo and Laurel, two college students who can't resist each other. Laurel is a pledge at Beta Phi Chi, the sorority next door to Apollo's fraternity. But she has to stay away from Apollo, who's ex is the president at Beta Phi Chi. Can they keep their forbidden romance a secret, or will they get caught in the crossfire of pranks, hazing, and drama? This is a well-written story with engaging characters, suspenseful twists, and plenty of fun. I enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait for the next one.
Mr. Cleveland I applaud you on another great book!! It has the right amount of spicy that will keep you blushing. Apollo is witty, sexy, charming & a man that knows what he wants. He is a member of the fraternity house Phi Alpha Nu. Laurel is a freshman pledging into the Beta Phi Chi sorority. Its her legacy. That is until she meets Apollo!! Hell week is the true telling of this couples feelings and pure jealous of an ex. You will find yourself laughing and really enjoying this story. You will also want to scream at times but end the end it is SO worth the read!!
I received this book as part of Eddie’s arc team. Apollo is the first book in Eddie’s new series. Eddie again has developed some great characters. The book was told from the two main characters point of view. Apollo and Laurel are very relatable and will take you right back to your college days (and all of the emotions and drama) especially if you were part of a frat or sorority. This story has all of the elements of a great love story, a hero, a villain, turmoil and conflict, and all the feels. You won’t be disappointed!
Another great college romance from E. Cleveland, Laurel meets Apollo in the Olympus frat house, Apollo being his nickname, each of the frat boys all have different Greek gods names assigned to what there own personalities display. The storyline is good with two strong personalities and a sizzling chemistry with an insight to a bit of Greek mythology thrown into the mix. This is the first book in the new frat gods series and I am now eagerly awaiting the next book, whichever frat god it might be.
What a awesome beginning from this new series . Apollo meets Laurel and there is hot chemistry between them but there is a problem see Laurel is a sorority pledge and the president is Apollo ex so they have to keep their relationship secret but its hard for them to keep it under cover .... things happen events that will keep you on edge but also it is a sweet love story and in this book 1 we meet all the other characters and I cant wait to read more from this series
Eddie Cleveland has written another beautiful, engaging, sexy, spicy and funny college romance novel that promises to be a series. This novel is set on a Georgia university campus, primarily in two Greek life houses. Olympus house the fraternity where the guys are given the names of Greek gods, hence Apollo.
Apollo is an upperclassmen in the fraternity and finds himself listing after a freshman in the neighboring sorority, which is only problematic because he is the ex of the sorority president and he is no "off limits" to all of the ladies of the house. How can Apollo gain Laurel's attention if she is off limits? Let's just say that Laurel's bestie Juno might have a few ideas.
This novel is true to the college experience, is realistic of Greek life in so many ways (good and bad) and is more adventurous and fun than even I expected. A fair amount of Greek life shenanigans shall I say. And it is incredibly well done.
I thought that Rookie was my favorite Eddie Cleveland novel but I would venture a guess that I am going to fall in love with mythology and find a new favorite in this series.
Eddie has started his new series off with a bang. I loved Apollo and Laurel. Their story is forbidden according to one person especially. These two have an instantaneous connection when they first meet and their chemistry is banging hot. There is drama, angst, lust, sizzling heat, and twists and turns that make you go, what!? There were parts that made me laugh and one part with the pledges that had me really laughing. I loved Apollo and Laurel’s story and the characters I met along the way. The brothers in the house were great and there were a couple girls that I really really like at the sorority house. I can’t wait until the next book comes out. I’m just very excited to see what Eddie does with this series. Greek mythology is one of my favorites. I loved studying it in school.
Apollo is the start of a new series set at Athens University at Olympus House. Apollo and Laurel have their issues usually caused by outside drama from his ex. Love both the characters and how everyone at Olympus House suits their nickname. There are moments where you laugh and others where you feel like throwing something at a character andnsaying grow up to them. Another great start to a series by E. Cleveland and can't wait to read the rest of the books once they are written.
What a great start to a new series! I loved Apollo and Laurel’s story! It was a fun story that kept me glued to my kindle! I couldn’t put it down! Although they were perfect for each other there were those who didn’t think so. There were some bumps on their journey to their relationship. Will everything work out in the end? I loved Apollo, the first book in the Greek Mythology Inspired College Romance series! I can’t wait for the next book!
