Very interesting...again...and getting better.
But still don't get why the female MC is only working as an EA when she said she went to Cornell?

3 and 1/2 stars!

All right.. I'm liking it more, but I can't seem to be able to give it 4 stars..

I'm guessing the fact that it's so short and the abrupt endings is not helping a lot.

"Be careful what you wish for, it just might turn you into a selfish bitch"

I give this series a 4.5 STARS! There is just something holding me back from giving it a full 5.

Luke: Part I Mirror is free on Amazon, Click Here

I started reading this while trying to pick my next read. I have had Part I of the Luke Series: Mirror on my kindle for a while and just clicked on it to read the first few sentences and well, went all the way to the end in one sitting. These are short reads but I purchased the complete series set after the first so it was like a full length novel.

Brina is a Cornell graduate working with NeoSys which is the 2nd best software company . She gets promoted to Competitive Intelligence Officer...AKA....a Spy.

Her assignment is to get the password for "BLAZE", the greatest innovation to hit the industry since the internet. BLAZE is being created by the number 1 company, Maxwell Computers, owned by the young billionaire  Luke Maxwell. Brina is applying to be his executive assistant.

Luke isn't dumb, he knows there are people out there trying to steal his software and his programs. I mean come on, he's a giant nerd, HOT NERD but a nerd....he's smart!

Brian and Luke have an instant attraction but do wither of them know if the other is playing the other?

The obvious happens, the fall in love.  Brina is faced with telling him the truth and losing everything. Both jobs and the man she has fallen in love with or to go through with the original plan.

Brina had a brother that killed himself 7 months ago and is extremely affected by it. This tragic incident is what draws Brina and Luke together. She isn't the only one holding something back.

Oh, I have to mention Milo....Milo works with Brina at NeoSys. He has had a crush on Brina since they met and well...we find out Milo has a few tricks up his sleeve...in more ways then one...wink wink!!

After the big reveal, things don't go so well....of course...what kind of book would the man just say, "Oh OK  I know you love me and its OK that you were trying to steal something I have worked so hard on" NO, too too boring.

Here is were I think I took my .5 stars away. Six weeks after the reveal, BLAZE is being revealed at a conference that Milo helps Brina get into (see Milo rocks) well when she gets there, she sees Luke with a beautiful blond kissing...NOT GOOD.  He apparently started dating her as a rebound but his feelings turned more serious for her. She was a good person and beautiful but....She wasn't Brina. I guess I was just like WHAT THE HELL that he could move on that fast. Seriously, you say you loved Brina that much and you just jump in bed with someone else...HUH, no, I think I would have like to see him suffer, kinda like she was.

WELL....The story gets really good after that. They  try to become friends and take a "timeout", at first it didn't last a day but then they were determined to show the other that they were serious about one another, that it was just about the sex....Man, did they have a hard time with that one.

The story starts out being told in just Brina's POV but eventually we get to see Luke's POV as well, which I love!!

This series really pulled me in from the start. At first I was kind of like "DAMN GIRL, don;t waste anytime do you?" but then....who wouldn't with a man like that!

You can really feel Brina's pain. She has so much responsibility, I would be in a pickle as well.

Throughout the series, we watch their relationship go from HOT, to UH OH, to OH COME ON ALREADY, to AWWW!! LOL, best way to describe it. Without giving away any spoilers, the ending was great! There is definitely a HAPPY EVER AFTER!!

I really liked how the Author wasted no time. There wasn't any wasted time in this series. Both characters got right to the point. Yes, at times I wanted to scream at Brina and say TELL HIM ALREADY but of course that would be too boring....shoot, even Brian was yelling at herself in the story!

Cassia Leo really knows how to captivate you from the start.  Her characters are all likable and real.

As a side note, I want to add something about the Author's Note in the end....

Cassia Leo lets us know that she is no stranger to suicide. She had a fellow classmate jump off a hotel during class across from the school. Her classmate actually survived a little after the jump and was able to tell this woman his name. She mentions how she always wondered how that woman dealt with that. She also had a friend who committed suicide years later and wonders if she could have done something to be a better friend and stop it from happening. This is what made her characters for this story.

I definitely would recommend this to anyone, it had a little bit of everything. I laughed (their banter is hilarious), I cried (poor Brina and her Brother Ryan, and I smiled at their love A LOT!!

Seriously, confessing love after three days of fucking?

I have no words to describe this. Brina started to work for Luke Maxwell, a nerdy, sexy billionaire, three days ago. Obviously, after 10 minutes they have met, they fucked (I'm talking of book one)

Well, that I could have expected, because it's a new adult book. What I wasn't expecting was for them to fall in love after three days of their fucking routine.

And also, I think is disgusting to confess that you love someone at the same time you are So anticlimatic.

The only reason I'm going to continue with the series is because I want to know if Luke is stupid or if he suspects she is going to steal the fucking password of his fucking project.

Sorry, I'm enraged.

Just as you get into a story, when it's a short story it ends. This tale of the billionaire CEO hunk, Luke & his new assistant Brina. I feel it's getting to a crucial part. The question is will she go through with this deception & steal the password that she needs, or will she follow her heart?

This romance has blossomd so fast, I feel too fast but who am I to judge. I'm hoping she doesn't put work before love & she can walk away from NEOSYS & get a HEA with Luke.

There is more here than we know yet, I feel Luke has more information on Brina than we know about yet. I just hope she chooses love & tells Luke what's happening before he finds out & then itmay be too late.

Exciting stuff, bring on book 3.

Geezuuss... why did I put myself thru this again??...maybe I was hoping book # 2 would be better that the first one, but damn was I wrong... It's the same recipe: a lot of banging and I love you after three days....
I wanna cheer for Brina and Luke, but I can't bring myself to it.... now I am going off and mourn the fact that i didn't get my book-I-wanna-feel-good-and travel-to-my-special happy place out of this one.....

1 out of 5 Stars

I bought the whole series as Audiobook. I really shouldn't have.

I get that this is a novella, but each book is extremely short. The plot sounds tempting enough, but the execution is awful. Not at all what I expected after having read an exceptional book from the same author only months ago.

Why do I not like it? There is no build-up or anticipation at all. In other words, the main characters have wild sex on the day they meet (just like that, a millionaire CEO sleeps with an employee on her 1st day) and fall in love with each other after the third day. End of part 1. Right... not exactly believable in my opinion. I just kept eye-rolling throughout the book.

The only thing that makes it worth reading is the books steam-factor, but to be very honest, even that can't come to the rescue of a crappy book.

Sorry, but I really wouldn't recommend this.

After an unusual job interview, corporate spy Brina Kingston quickly succumbed to billionaire Luke Maxwell's charm, falling into his bed. As his executive assistant, Brina is playing a dangerous game attempting to find the password that will unveil Maxwell's latest software, Blaze. But every second she spends with him brings her closer to her goal and her need to protect him. At each turn she suspects that Luke knows why she is there, still every time he touches her the world shrinks to just him. Battling her own demons, Brina struggles between the urge to guarantee her future or keep Luke. He is everything she's ever wanted in a man but also her assignment. The second installment of the Luke series is just as edgy as the first, with steamy sexual encounters and an intense chess game that will have only one winner.

Even with a bit more content than continously humping, I'm still on the fence on whether I will like this when all is said and done. I think I know where this may be heading but freaking Luke is still a mystery to me. There is just something not quite right. I am missing his genuine thoughts and even personality. He says things, but as a reader I feel they are nothing more than words. Which would be a bad thing for Brina. She seems to be losing her heart slowly and I'm pretty sure that this is putting her assignment at risk.

I guess I will continue on and keep you all posted!

I just love this series!! I could not help but fall in love with Luke. He is just the typical sweet good guy that gives his heart out. You just feel bad knowing what Brina is gonna do to him. However, that is what kept me reading hoping that it wouldn't be like that and that it would all worked out. The sex scenes were just oh so hot! And I especially loved all the talk about Luke. The plot is very good and it just keeps the story going. I couldn't get enough and I can't wait to read more! Great series so far!

I purchased the second book hoping to give the author a second chance. Bad idea. The book is more of a novella (took me 30 minutes to read it) and has no real story. The story reads like a footnote: just hits the high points of their lives, and is filled with Playboy. I'm not a prude, by any means, and like a steamy novel like everyone else. But I prefer some story to it. Not a "I'm here for the interview and 10 minutes later we're in bed together." I don't think I'll be reading anymore by this author.

Hmm I love you in less than a week? I don't think this is possible. They don't even get to know each other besides having sex every time they meet. Again no condom and never mention anything about it. Shouldn't they afraid of STD's or her getting prego? If she loves him, the decision is not hard at all. Not sure I wanted to continue this because there's no character being build at all. She thinks she's being played, I agree with this because no one is dumb enough to leave their phone unattended and have a file with their enemy's name on it.

Okay part 2 is just as fast paced as the first part, and I am just as intrigued to find out what happens. I honestly don't want Brina to betray Luke...so I am glad she did not turn any information over to NeoSys.
Although now I am wondering if this Josh person isn't a spy in his own right for Luke, if so that would explain why Luke knows so much about Brina.

This series is shaping up to be a very good read, it keeps you thinking.
With that said on to part 3...

This novella was cute. I love their playfulness and the fact that he won't let her break off their "relationship". Now that he wants to take it public she is afraid. I have a hard time understanding why she is so nervous about getting caught. I think this character should be stronger in that dept.
Although I like this series, it's just not gripping enough to keep me interested. I may come back at a later time.

Another novella posing as a book. This time, Luke and Brina confess their love for each other only 3 days after meeting each other. I mean, how do they even know one another? And what exactly is Brina's job? Because I don't think she's actually "working" for Luke. Poor character development and plot is horrendous! Please write a full novel and give these characters a chance.

Ughhh boring! This short story which was like 25 pages and had like 10 hook ups- that's one every other page. In addition she is willing to risk her job, her families source of income and saying I love you for a guy she just met 3 days ago... Moving to fast- not enough story- way to hard to believe.

Okay so Brina is getting in deep and you have to ask yourself if he knows so much he has to know what the hell she is doing. I am still overwhelmed with the speed of this relationship and that unrealistic feel that you no one falls in love in 3 days but like I wrote before I have all the books so onward I go.

This book was a good follow-up for the previous one, although I liked the first one better. I'm already busy with reading the third one, so I know that everything will turn out allright.

I think that there are also to many distractions from the real story. She is kind of leading him on. And I think that she needs tocome clean to him, it will blow up in her face.

Four stars!

Authors need to let readers know its a club hanger

I just like author's who do not let you know that you don't get the ending Alicia by the rest of the series. I had hope he's a book start it out And was And was impressed with the book. But not by the author It is disappointing when you read part of the story and you have to stop to go by the rest of

In this one Brina is given the opportunity to get information from Luke, and she just hangs on to it. I was disappointed in her, espeically since they both declare their love in this one. The character development is getting better and I am starting to feel their relationship.
