Two stories in this book. I enjoyed the first Christmassy story and the second was fine, although nothing to do with Christmas!

I liked this book.
The first story was very cute about twins boys who wanted a Mum for Christmas. They ask Santa and then help him by trying to select a woman for their Dad. A lovely story all round.

The second story is about a woman who in some ways is still trying to win her Dad's approval and love. She works for her Dad and meets a magician. Let the magic begin.

I would recommend this book to anyone.

About as easy to read as Biff, Chip and Kipper - The cover has glitter on so it gives you an idea of the brain power needed to read these 2 short stories... that said, if the first of these stories "All I want for Christmas" (a story about 2 twin boys aged 6 writing to Santa to ask for a Mum) was made into a Christmas movie I would 100% watch and love it! Mills & Boon just isn't my bag

The first story (All I Want for Christmas) is so Nora it hurts - woman is disappointed with big city life, moves back to small town and finds true love. All with a Christmassy setting! Nice 80s details (girls wearing lots of velvet, and waistcoats over baggy shirts etc) too. Didn't read the second story as it's not Christmassy. Misleading cover, some? Tut.

first story is very Christmassy - I think it is the one they made into the Mrs Miracle film. The second story although good and unusual has nothing to do with Christmas.

Christmas magic: All I Want For Christmas/ This Magic Moment
All I Want For Christmas
This would have been a really lovely seasonal read but I felt that it needed fleshing out a fair bit. It felt so rushed that I couldn’t really click with the characters which is so rare for me when I read Nora Roberts. If it had more time I would have enjoyed it more. For what it’s worth I really enjoyed the premise and the story I just feel there could have been more.

This Magic Moment
Now I was really dumbfounded by this story because I was expecting another Christmas/seasonal read. But this was not it at all. I don’t really understand why this story was paired with the first. It threw me off so much that I wasn’t able to enjoy it as much as I should have. It was a great story really but just didn’t fit the vibe of the selection.

Well, I read it but didn't like it. Two stories in one book, the first was a very cheesy Cheesey Christmas story, the second story had absolutely nothing to do with Christmas so badly packaged as a Christmas book. Both were a little too Mills and Boon for me. I read it but wouldn't bother reading it again.

Two stories in the one book. The first is a lovely Christmassy romance about twin boys looking for a mum for Christmas for their single dad.The second story is not about Christmas at all. It's a romance between a TV producer and her a magician/ illusionist. A good book but just hoped that both stories were Christmassy.

Didn't realize that there were two stories in this book. Really enjoyed the first one and was gutted that it had ended. Took me a long time to get into the second one, especially as I had enjoyed the first one so much. But I did eventually, and it was ok.

I loved the first story in this book. But I didn't care for the second story because it didn't have anything to do with Christmas.

Two stories within one book.

The first a cutesy Christmas story.
The second about a couple who meet through work.

Just about survived the cheesy first story but gave up on the tedious second one. Very over-rated book!

Two great romances, as usual in these "duo" books the first story is the festive one while the other is a regular romance.
In All I want for Christmas, twins, Zack and Zeke make a wish together that "all they want for Christmas" is a new mother and the see her in the form of the new music teacher Nell.
But their father, Mac has been hurt very badly before when the twins mother just left them all when the boys were babies so is wary and unsure how to trust again in case both he and the children get hurt.
Will love prevail this festive season?
In the second story Ryan Swan works for her father's TV production company and when asked to do an assignment and for a signature on a contract from one of the leading illusionists, Pierce Atkins, Ryan gets more than she bargained for as she falls head over heels for him.
But Pierce has a troubled past and finds it hard to let go and get close to Ryan, both of them come from different worlds, Ryan, neglected by a workaholic father but at the same time monied, Pierce who grew up in an orphanage and had to fight for every chance he got.
Can two such different people ever get together and be truly happy?
Two wonderful reads and having two in the same book is such a bonus and of course a longer read!!!
A must for any fans of Nora Roberts or as myself just discovering her work, either way this is a winter treat not to be missed for the romantic in all of us.

This book is two short stories in one.

#1 All I Want For Christmas:
All the identical twins Zeke and Zach want for Christmas is a new mother! But when Zeke and Zach try convincing their dad that their new music teacher Miss Davies is sent by Santa for them, it seems their plan was not as easy as that. Will Zeke and Zach get a new mother in time for Christmas?

#2 This Magic Moment:
Ryan Swan vowed never to trust another male again! That is until she meets master of illusions Pierce Atkins, he would be the last person she would give her heart too. Pierce plans to perform a death-defying stunt he may not even survive, so why is it that when Ryan is with Pierce all her worries and fears vanish? Will love blossom for this unexpected pair?

Nora Roberts is a big author and most readers will have heard about her however, this is the first book I have read by her (shocking! I know). I rated this book four stars as I enjoyed the first story more than the second and to be honest I am not a great fan of short stories! Other than that I really enjoyed the book and will be looking into more books by Nora Roberts. I found that this book is another that does not specifically focus on Christmas and was very easy to read. This is the ideal read for readers who enjoy Christmas, chick-lit and short stories. Enjoy.

Well, not really a Christmas book after all....
Nr 1 is about Christmas, 3 stars for that one, loved the kids in it, even though I am not the fan of books about children, this story was lovely indeed, Nell was nice lady, so I liked her also.
Nr 2. Is about magic and not about Christmas. 1 star for that- didn't like it . Illusionist- not my type, he indeed didn't look like man in love, just as Mr Swan said......I did not like Pierce, so when you do not like main character its difficult to like the book. Ryan, lady with a character and strong backbone, in the end accepts, what unacceptable for her, without even trying to make Pierce to compromise too, so she goes into relationship on his terms completely, except her silly negotiation on "new contract" in the end.. Pierce, man who needs to prove something to himself by constantly putting himself in danger (I would think its some sort of psychological disorder, caused by childhood trauma), is not what I would call perfect husband and future father, I do not see how this can be considered happy ending, because he probably going kill himself doing his next escape... My favourite bits in this book were about talking bird, Bess and Link.
PS: I hate how her characters during foreplay say "Now" sometimes adding "Please" Grrrr, makes me cringe.

Two extremely predictable Christmas stories. But who doesn't like a bit of cheese this time of year? I thought both stories were incredibly cute, easy to read, endearing and full of Christmas sparkle and magic. I'm the first story 'All I want for Christmas' two very cute and cheeky little twin boys called Zeke and Zach know exactly what they want for Christmas a new mum. They want to see their dad smile again and to be happy and they want a woman's touch in their lives. When they meet the new music teacher Miss Davis who is pretty, likes children, loves Christmas, has lovely blonde hair and blue eyes and is everything both the twins are looking for. But trying to convince their dad who had a frosty start with Miss Davis and tries to put his thoughts and feelings aside. But will Zeke and Zach get their Christmas wish after all?
Pierce Atkins has been hurt many times in the past and she doesn't trust or need a man in her life. That is until she meets the illusionist Ryan Swan. A frosty start between them ends with a Christmas happily ever after all round.

Two story book - Second story was so boring & wish it was just a continuation of this book's first story as that was quite a sweet romance.

A lovely read, but was 1/2 way through the 2nd 'book' when I realised it was 2 separate books rather than 2 parts to the story!
