I actually enjoyed this book very much.
I will be honest though I skipped much of the interpretation part as I thought it was more confusing than anything. I thought the introduction was a bit pompous also. But the tablets themselves with the 2 additional ones at the end were quite interesting and contained information worth reading.
I do recommend it for those who enjoy finding links to things they know or other documents they have read. I find it fascinating how similar information can be passed on through so many different sources on such a varied time frame.

Interesting. Keep an open mind and you'll learn a thing or two about spiritual growth. But keep in mind that this is not the same as The tablet of Hermes, written by Hermes; meaning Maurice Dorsal have added his own words, translations and interpretations; where is unknown.
A good read, surely; I noticed a few add's which did seemed out of context. The later chapters felt as if they were heavily translated and edited.
Take the time to read it, you'll not regret doing so. Just Remember to do your research and decide in which way you are to interpret the text. As a fantasy, history, spiritual growth text etc.

Read by Josh Reeves (big mistake right there!)
The tablets go back to 36K BC - really, he says so. The writer is, as the title suggests, Thoth, a priest-king who founded a colony in Egypt after his island sunk.
Advice: depress the mute button for three hours and there you are, done, and eager for a new read in another genre.

Loved this book!!! I really recommend. Very worthwhile. So many doors it opened in my mind. So many more questions. Like how was this information obtained and then translated? From actual tablets or from channeling? If anyone has a clue please let me know. I would also recommend to anyone that appreciated this read to also read The Memoors and Prophecies of an Extraterestial God Lost Book of Enki.

As delightful as this text is to read, it is evidently partially plagiarized from Lovecraft’s works. I wanted to believe this text was coming from somewhere deeper than that, but further investigation confirmed it is an invention. However, it is still possible to learn true spiritual truths from fiction. Just don’t take the origin story of this book seriously.

Poetic, inspiring, and very enlightening! The Emerald Tablets of Thoth is a must read for those who seek wisdom and development of the soul. In addition to fragments of Atlantean history, the tablets also act as a guide for evolving the human consciousness to higher levels of truth and awareness. In my personal opinion, I interpreted Thoth giving instructions in astral-projection a term utilized in esotericism to depict a willful out-of-body experience, an alleged form of telepathy that presumes the presence of a soul or consciousness labeled as an astral body that is independent from the physical body and adept in migrating outside of it anywhere in the universe, in which Thoth obviously mastered. Astral-projection and these higher levels of consciousness are also tied to the human pineal gland of the type of abilities humans can achieve as multi-dimensional beings when the gland is fully activated. I definitely recommend this book to anyone traveling down the path of spiritual enlightenment. I also recommend the book to those who have read Zecharia Sitchin’s, “The Lost Book of Enki: Memoirs and Prophecies of an Extraterrestrial God”. After all, Enki was the father of Thoth.
In addition to spiritual enlightenment and the book mentioned above, I also recommend this book to any fan of David Icke. Specifically those who read David’s, Children of the Matrix would I highly enjoy Emerald Tablet VIII: The Key of Mysteries. In this tablet, Thoth describes of the days of the Kingdom of Shadows and the coming of the children of the shadows. Out of the great deep were they called by the wisdom of earth-men, called for the purpose of gaining great power. Far in the past before Atlantis existed, men there were who delved into darkness, using dark magic, calling up beings from the great deep below us, forth came they into this cycle. Formless were they of another vibration, existing unseen by the children of earth-men. Only through blood could they have formed being. Only through man could they live in the world. In the form of man moved they amongst us, but only to sight were they as are men. Serpent-headed when the glamour was lifted but appearing to man as men among men. Crept they into the councils, taking forms that were like unto men. Slaying by their arts the chiefs of the kingdoms, taking their form and ruling o’er man. Only by magic could they be discovered. Only by sound could their faces be seen. Sought they from the kingdom of shadows to destroy man and rule in his place. This tablet mirrors Icke’s theory of the world’s leaders being reptilian shape-shifters.

Admittedly, the words of the tablets are 'evergreen', timeless in their thoughts and instruction. It's just a shame that the author (or his translators) did not proof-read the final copy. One should not be expected to have to add a letter here, substitute other letters there, to make sense of what was intended. That made it hard going. As such I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone but true seekers after 'truth'. THe information is there, it's just hard to find.

I read the spirit science version created for the aquarius age. Just translation is updated.
I loved the version and do recommend it.

At those times, perhaps the impact were huge, but today they are boring as fuck, engulfed by all the "new age" trend.
This particular one is useless, a lot of the same bs regurgitated by other with better write and imagination...
At least, texts like the Kybalion, have historical interest and give a real perspective about hermeticism... this one, just tell a "story", not a good one.

What the heck did I just read? Stumbled I upon this digital tablet shrouded in mystery, Aye, did I. Expected not did I know as mine eyes and intellect took in this wayward tome of supposed wisdom.
I am doubtful of the supposed origin of this book, which I will not rehash here (see other reviews), and did not find a need to do so. However, as one who considers myself a spiritual seeker I did my best to keep an open mind in reading. I do believe that wisdom can be found in strange and unexpected places, and there were some lines in this book that I did find to be universally true. However, the ideas are nothing new as far as the overall arc of enlightenment (this word not being a concept that was mentioned – rather it was seen as attaining control over death at will and to become merged with the Great Light and Source of all). The prose I found to be a bit cumbersome and stilting, and wondered how the original language would be translated such, if the claim is in any way real. In day-to-day practicality, I find it to be lacking. I doubt that anyone will be able to go down to the pathway in the Great Pyramid that ends in a wall after fasting for three days, find the stone sarcophagus and crawl into it, then enter the Halls of Amenti while holding specific syllables and thoughts in one's head.
Regarding the copious attention on the numbers three to nine, I found much of it to be completely confusing and don't know what to make of it. Either it went completely over my head or I'm not ready to receive the Keys or I simply don't have enough context to hang these on.
Perhaps in my continued exploration of occult/fringey texts I will have a better structure on which to hang my snapshot interpretation, but for now I move on.

July 17, 2024As stated by this book's preface, "the writer, (who has a connection with the Great White Lodge which also works through the pyramid priesthood) was instructed to recover and return to the Great Pyramid the ancient tablets. This, after adventures which need not be detailed here, was accomplished. Before returning them, he was given permission to translate and retain a copy of the wisdom engraved on the tablets. This was done in 1935 and only now has permission been given for part to be published." And the preface is signed, "Doreal, Supreme Voice of the Brotherhood."
The book reminds me of Charles Webster Leadbeater's book, The Hidden Life in Freemasonry. If the tablets are indeed an original work, they more than likely come from the fallen (angels).

This is interesting. Its clearly written in the 1930's, by an author tied to this mystical White Brotherhood. There's references to modern ideas and forms as well as core beliefs of this white brotherhood, that give this away quite easily. The first half has some nice, perhaps channeled mystical or spiritual advice, while the second half devolves into the clearly fake Atlantean history and time and dimensional ramblings, which while clearly not from 36,000 BC, still remains interesting to read and think about.

Not quite sure what I just read. Supposedly this was written by the Egyptian god Thoth who claims to be from Atlantis. He has regenerated himself a number of times by going to some lab hidden in the center of the earth. However, he can't go there anymore because the door was on Atlantis and they had to sink the island because it was also a gateway to something really bad. His space ship is hidden under the Sphinx and the keys are in the pyramid next door. If you learn his ways, you can find them.

If I can give this book 10 stars I would. The wisdom within enlightens and empowers the soul. The Emerald Tablets share profound spiritual knowledge and insight with straight forward information on a cosmic level. One of my favorites by far!
