Headline: A great Resource

I received my Kindle Fire as a gift back in November 2011. It took me some time to get an ereader because I wanted one that was in color. I enjoy book covers and turning pages so getting an electronic device was not a priority on my to do list.

Since receiving my Fire I have had several tap sensitivity issues, which is why when I saw this book I thought it would be a great resource. So I sat down and opened the book and the first chapter is titled “Getting started with the Kindle Fire” well naturally I was planning to zoom right past this section because I thought I matured beyond this with my Fire. But Cheshire warns against this so I kept reading the basics and wow am I glad I did because I found a gem of information on page 31.

The author taught me more about the cloud then I knew before reading this book. Now I understand about not using all of my internal space on my Fire but take advantage of the “cloud drive.” As a Fire owner we are gifted with some “free” storage but unlimited space can be purchased from Amazon for a minimal fee.

The instruction throughout this book is clear and easy to understand even the technical points, and I am NOT tech savvy. The close up graphics in the book allows the reader to see the direction without having to run and get your Fire to see what the reference point is.

My Fire reads like a 255 page manual, with colored graphics, tips and shortcuts to help you move around on Fire!!!

Excellent resource. Easy read, easy to navigate to areas I was interested in learning. I was able to learn several new things to do with the Kindle Fire and helped to reinforce what I already knew. Highly recommend to anyone who is new to Kindle Fire. It was very helpful that the author included very good screen shots with markings so you could see what you were supposed to look for.

When I upgraded to the Kindle Fire HD I knew I would get Jim Cheshire's in-depth guide to help me use my new toy and I was not disappointed. His straight forward explanations and instructions showed his knowledge of the product and his tips and tricks helped me get more out of my KFHD. I highly recommend this guide for anyone wanting to know more about their Kindle Fire HD.
