Generally an interesting read, and worthwhile if you're new to personal finance. The author takes a somewhat scare-mongering approach to the current financial system; he raises valid points but he also delves in a few too many conspiracy theories. Some of his references are a bit bat-shit crazy - one I have to call out is the Zero Hedge website which should be just plain avoided.
I give it only two stars because despite some good direction being given to his readers he doesn't go all the way, likely leaving the less financially savvy reader in a more confused state.
The author didn't mention index trackers at all (which in my view is a glaring omission), his over-emphasis of PE ratios when assessing shares is a little rudimentary too.

I find anything financial a bit of a turn off, but this book is lively, engaging and I've certainly learnt a lot to protect my monetary assets. A definite worthwhile read.
