Frogs! by Kathryn Hoffman Satterfield is a wonderful informational text book for grades K-5. I read this story with my students when we discussed using illustrations and details in a text to understand key ideas. I love this book because it is an easy read for my more advanced readers and provides colorful pictures with details to help provide information about various types of frogs. I even used the large diagram to teach my students about about labels. My students enjoyed the fun facts that were provided throughout the books. Due to this book being created by the editors of Time magazine for kids, the photographs gives students an up close look of frogs that helped them to better understand the information they learn.

Frogs!
Summary
This is an informational text about frogs. This book talks about the different characteristics of frogs and what they eat.

Evaluation
I liked this book because it is an early reader, so young students can read it independently.

Teaching Idea
I would use this book in a lesson on types of amphibians. I would have students use this book as a resource while they write a paragraph comparing and contrasting different amphibians.
