About the author

Sandra Jordan is a distinguished writer known for her acclaimed art-focused books for young readers, many created with co-author Jan Greenberg. Together they produced celebrated works such as Action Jackson, Christo and Jean-Claude: Through the Gates and Beyond, and Vincent Van Gogh, Portrait of an Artist, a Sibert Honor title. Their later books, Ballet for Martha and The Mad Potter, earned starred reviews, Sibert Honors, and Orbis Pictus recognition. In 2013, they received the Children’s Book Guild Award. Jordan lives in New York, New York.

Very muted, hazy photographs accompany this story of children who set out one day to catch a frog. During their adventure they spy minnows, muskrats,turtles, and other fish.
