What a refreshing take on the self help book! Stephanie Campos turns the typical traits of each zodiac sign to provide a way for readers to successfully navigate each zodiac season of the year. Each season is complete with explanations on why we might feel the way we do, how best to navigate decisions and obstacles, love advice, mantras, and more. I liked the layout of this book, which makes it very easy to access information relative to the current time of year the reader is in. There is no wading through information that is not applicable, you just flip to the current zodiac, which I found super helpful. For those that are interested in a little more woo woo, you will find moon rituals and a few card layouts too.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Fair Winds for my copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Book Review: Seasons of the Zodiac by Stephanie Campos

4/5 Stars

Stephanie Campos' book, Seasons of the Zodiac, is a delightful and informative guide that takes readers on a journey through the astrological seasons. From the energetic Aries to the soothing Pisces, Campos explores each zodiac signs' unique "season" and teaches readers how to tap into their magickal energies to enhance their lives throughout the year.

One of the first things that caught my attention was the book's eye-catching cover. Its vibrant colors and captivating design immediately drew me in, setting the stage for an engaging read. As I delved into the book, I found the graphics within to be equally enticing, making it visually appealing and adding an extra layer of enjoyment.

The layout of the book is well-organized and easy to navigate. Campos takes readers on a journey through each astrological season, providing detailed information on what to expect during that time and how to make the most of its unique energy. The author's writing style is approachable and accessible, making complex astrological concepts easy to understand for beginners.

One aspect I particularly appreciated were the "Try This" sections scattered throughout the book. These practical exercises allow readers to actively engage with the material, providing a hands-on experience that enhances their understanding of each zodiac season's influence. Additionally, Campos includes "Affirmations" that readers can incorporate into their daily practices, helping them align with the specific energies of each season.

Another valuable feature of this book is the handy reference section at the end. This section provides readers with useful information on incorporating zodiac magick into their daily lives. From astrological connections of popular herbs to tarot spreads based on the lunar cycle, this reference section serves as a valuable tool for those looking to deepen their connection with the cosmic cycles of the year.

Seasons of the Zodiac is not limited to those who only have knowledge of their sun sign. The book is designed to be accessible and relevant to readers of all levels of astrological understanding. Whether you are a budding astrologer, a beginner witch, or simply someone seeking a deeper connection with the cosmic forces at play, this book offers something for everyone.

In conclusion, Stephanie Campos' Seasons of the Zodiac is an engaging and practical primer on how to embrace the full influence of the zodiac in our daily lives. The book's beautiful illustrations, well-laid-out format, and informative content make it a perfect gift for anyone interested in astrology or seeking to explore the magical energies associated with each zodiac season. I highly recommend this book to all those curious about harnessing the power of the stars in their lives.

I'll be honest, when it comes to the seasons of the zodiac, I only know when we shift from one sign to the next thanks to tarot spreads being posted on IG 🫣 It's definitely a subject I knew very little about, so when the lovely Mel at Quarto Books offered me a copy of Stephanie's new book, of course I said yes please ❤️

This wonderful book has really helped fill in that gap in my knowledge, and I'll definitely be referring back to it often, both as we shift from one zodiac season to the next, but also when the new and full moons come around. Each season has its own chapter, starting with an overview of the energies you might be experiencing before going into self-care tips for this season (and as someone really big into self-care I love that each season has 3 tips to work with).

Then we move onto a guide to your love life, how to manifest during the season, and some moon magick looking at both the new moon and full moons that fall within the season. Finally a seasonal ritual and a page of affirmations round out each season's chapter. Thankfully the rituals all use easily obtained items, and some need no items other than yourself, which makes them all very accessible for the reader.

In the back of the book is a cosmic grimoire with some useful information about planetary days in magick, psychic self-defence, a guide to manifesting based on your zodiac sign, and a tarot spread that can be used for the full and new moons. I like the fact it uses the same layout for both, just with different prompts for the moon phase.

This book is beautifully illustrated throughout, Caitlin's artwork fits so well, and I'm definitely going to be continuing to dip back into this book as the year progresses and we move from one season of the zodiac to the next ☺️

4.5/5

This book is amazing. Stephanie Campos is clearly mindful and passionate about this. Campos's acknowledgement of privilege and how the systemic structures in our world can make manifesting hard for some was something I need to see more of. I would love to see some essays on this topic.

Each zodiac is broken up into:
Explanation of the zodiac
Self-care tips
Love life
Manifesting
Moon Magick
A ritual
Affirmations

I loved this! It felt so new and fresh. Campos even included little "Try This" tips on some of the sections to give you more ideas on how to incorporate the teaching.

The final chapter "Cosmic Grimoire" could really be its own book. This chapter is short, it just briefly touches on planetary days, herbs for spellwork, protecting yourself, the elemental signs, and tarot spreads for lunar phases. I would have loved to see a few more pages dedicated to each of these topics. I really hope she will write more on them!

She includes an index for easy reading! No sources or further reading though, unfortunately. Too many books are skipping out on the index though, so I was relieved to see it!

This is a beautiful book. It's great for beginners and it's not overwhelming. If you're looking for a Western view on the zodiac without a lot of dense, heavy explanations, this book is for you. I'm sure it'll help you on your journey and will give you a stepping stone on where you'll want to explore next.

I will be recommending this book at work! And I'll be buying it ASAP!

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Fairwinds for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I used to read my horoscope every day. I love learning about different astrological signs, and especially reading up on my sign, Libra. Seasons of the Zodiac was amazing and gave great insight as to what Zodiac Season is and I how it is also known as your sun sign in astrology. The author gives many tips on how to ground and center yourself during zodiac season, what to expect in regards to your love life, how to use each zodiac season's energy to manifest, and affirmations to use to tap into the zodiac season's energy.
Of course I loved reading about Libra Season and as a people-pleaser, what to look out for and avoid. I thought the Moon Magick was really interesting and what my Libra vibe would be in the new moon.

This book was wonderful, informative, and perfect for those who love reading up on their sign.

Highly recommend!

I was expecting to love this book and I'm sad to say this was not the case. The book is based in the zodiac seasons, like the title says, starting with Aries season and finishing with Pisces season. Each chapter/zodiac season gives you information about the zodiac sign, self-care tips, moon magick info, ritual, manifestation, and affirmations. In the final chapters it contains other information including more rituals and how to manifest based on your zodiac signs. Overall, I did not love the book (I like to learn about astrology alone, not mixed with magick) but I do think people who like to mix magick and astrology will appreciate it more.

Thank you Netgalley and Fair Winds Press for providing me this ARC.

Okay. Astrology is meaningless gobbledygook. Not for me, but you do you, right? So whenever I stumble into these books, they usually get a "DNF" and an insta-1. HOWEVER, in browsing Seasons of the Zodiac, I noticed Stephanie Campos has done something really interesting here and basically written a guidebook teeming with clinically-tested mental health practices wrapped in Astrology's candy coating. "If you're a fire sign, calm stress and anxiety with deep breathing exercises" kind of stuff. So still astrological hokum, but with actual self-care techniques!

If you are confused on your journey into the zodiac. Uncertain on what each season means to you. This book is full of information for each season. Including practical things to do during the full moon and the new moon. Explanation of what is best to do for manifestation based on your birth sign and the elements that correspond with it. The artwork is beautiful. This would be a great gift for any season. Easy to understand, so excited to have this a reference.

Interesting way at doing astrology. This uses the season's and then the zodiac signs. The book is more for people who are just starting to learn, and not necessarily for seasoned users or professionals. The illustrations are beautiful. I wish it was longer.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I got this from the library. It definitely would be better to have on the shelf as a reference- I took pictures of everything relating to my sign.
It was written with love and care and I learned a lot of good tips for manifestation, like manifesting under the new moon will allow your intentions to grow with the moon, and how to tap into the energy of each season.

Wonderful cover. The content doesn't go very deep but gives insight into each season each zodiac and personality. It's positive, optimistic and uplifting recharging with hopeful mantras and tips. Gift able and makes a great coffee table book for curious of the occult and stars.

It is probably a great book for people who believes in the mysteries of the universe. I do believe there are things we can't explain with science but not to this extent. It was still a very entertaining reading and I do have some friends that would love this as a present.

This is a fun little reference book that I will keep on my shelf and work through this year. While I did read it straight through, it’s best read as a side by side to the zodiac seasons. There’s a lot of info in this little book. But it’s conversationally written and easy to understand

I wish I had more time to read this ARC. Because there are 12 seasons of the zodiac and I wanted to see how true to the book each season felt. I like the way the content was presented.
