Interesting, but very packed with info. That is obviously great, it was my mistake to try to read it as an art history beginner. Still, the book stopped at around the 1950s, and I wish it had continued up until the eighties. My copy was really old too, so maybe an updated one would be a better read.

This is a wonderful book on "modern art" (starting with David), made more wonderful for me since my mother was an assistant editor to Canaday.
