I binge read the series in one month, 12 books. That makes my 2nd western in one year and I loved it. This one takes place during the Wild Wild West and it was such a great adventure that I loved every minute of it. I recommend this to anyone who likes a fun adventure in the West .

It’s been a few years since I’ve read a Loner book. But this one quickly reminded me why that series is one of my favorites! Smooth writing, fast moving, and loaded with action. It’s entertaining from start to finish, just like every Loner entry has been .
Highly recommended.

The Kid is wanted in New Mexico for escaping from Hell’s Gate prison after he was mistaken for the outlaw Ben Bledsoe, and false charges of murdering prison guards. There is a ten thousand dollar reward on his head, and he is wanted dead or alive! Bounty hunters Pronto Pike, and Lace McCall are hot on his heels and after that reward. But Lace catches up to him first. While Lace and the Kid are travelling to Santa Fe, so she can collect and he can straighten things out, they run into some trouble. An old timer named Chester Blount is being ambushed by local ranch owner, Guthrie’s men, who are trying to kill him in order to steal his canyon to extend the ranch. Fighting on the side of right, the Kid talks Lace into joining him and helping the poor old man out. After fighting tooth and nail, and risking their lives, they manage to save Blount and rid the canyon of the ranch owner’s tyranny! But now Conrad Browning must make it to New Mexico and straighten this wanted business out! This book is packed with unexpected surprises, twists and turns in the story, and a final blow that sends Conrad in a tail spin! His revengeful former fiancée, Pamela Tarleton has returned from the grave with the help of her cousin Roger to torture Conrad in her final act of hatred!
