She is a fan of books that involve family and friends and her stories involve more than just the romantic relationship.

Christina enjoys binge watching Netflix, spending time with friends and family, romantic walks on the beach, or just listening to the rain fall.
I enjoy romance fantasies about librarians; they are usually full of surprises and often toy with the stereotypes. Operation: Tempt Me didn’t disappoint.
Cambrie is an all around good woman. She lost her parents when she was young, was raised by an aunt and now she’s doing the responsible adult thing by caring for the woman while her health is precarious and is stuck in a nursing home. The heroine has a job but it’s in jeopardy. All good plot conflicts that grab a reader’s heart strings and strums them to perfection. She also has a wonderful sense of humor, sense of justice and a good heart. Sounds very vanilla, doesn’t it? Not for long.
Enter Miller, the hero -- a strong man doing dangerous things while serving our country as a Navy SEAL. Right there is a reason to snare my attention. That he has been dreaming of his perfect woman but hadn’t any hopes of finding her any time soon rang the romance bells in my head. He was going to find more than he imagined and everything he hoped for, but better. The plot thickens.
How does a vanilla woman entice a red hot alpha hero? By tapping into the vixen inside and letting her out to play. And that is the one thing that Ms. James delivers exceptionally well. Every kinky, naughty, deliciously experimental bed scene was well done with some interesting dialogue sprinkled in to showcase the forward movement of their relationship. For readers that really get into the erotic side of erotic romance this book should be a winner. From the toys, to the computer, from the actual meeting and the various ways the hero takes the heroine, it’s all well done and initially, exciting.
After awhile, the spanking, the verbiage, every time they’re together, they jump on each other -- it’s not a bad thing, but I got bored. At first I skimmed, and then I just plain skipped those scenes to get to where real story telling took place. Yes, there were moments where their eyes met and words were exchanged that do indicate that they were falling in love and it was beautiful, as a romance should be. But it was just too overdone and became repetitive. There’s only so many ways to say the big “O” is coming and I’d swear every one was used.
The ones that stand out are the earlier scenes where Miller discovers how unique and special Cambie is. She lets him explore and allows him ‘to boldly go where no man has gone before’. His reaction was as yummy as this reader could have wished. I enjoyed the heroine’s blushes, the hero’s growls and the emotional tug of war that came from both of them realizing that where they both are in life makes the success of their relationship almost impossible.
Ms. James has an uncanny knack for writing emotion. When it came to important matters of the heart, of dealing with family and friends, the dialogue was a winner. There was no doubt in my mind just how much Cambrie was respected, how much she loved her aunt, how determined she was to make a difference in one young boy’s life or how she deeply she felt about things important to her, because it was all there in the words.
The ending was crafty, entertaining and quite delicious. I loved the big surprise and how it was orchestrated. I enjoyed how the author described the whole scene and even there, how she injected humor. I laughed at Miller’s fellow soldiers and sighed at the last sentence. This story has a great happily ever after wrap up.
Operation: Tempt Me is a really fun read. It has a lot going for it, characters that are fascinating to read about, internal conflicts that make sense, physical hijinks that could make a person’s cheeks warm and energetic dialogue that kept the story flowing. There is so much to enjoy and certainly this book is guaranteed entertainment. I think readers of erotic romance are going to have a great time when they pick up their own copy of Operation: Tempt Me. I’m glad I read it.
Cambrie is your normal run of the mill average librarian, smart, funny, helpful and friendly, but she harbors a deep secret. She needs a man in her life or should I say her bed, only he is not to be the normal missionary kind, no she wants to experience all the outrageous fantasies she has bouncing around in her head, the kind she has only read about in her erotic novels from the library.
She keeps the secret fantasy to herself, tells no one and carries on with her job and also taking care of her elderly sick Aunt Annabelle. That is until her boss gives her the order to take on the "adopt a soldier project" which entails you to keep in contact with a soldier on a regular basis basically keeping his hopes and dreams alive while he is half way around the world fighting the bad guys. What I like about Cambrie is that she is a go-getter. She does not just back down, she fights to the bitter end. A very strong female character in any book always makes for a good read.
So with the help of her friends she makes the cyber acquaintance of Lt Miller Daly who immediately tells her in no uncertain terms thanks for wanting to "adopt" me but no thanks. After all he has been having restless nights for over a year now with some gorgeous woman tempting him to the ultimate of sexual fantasies every night! But as I said Cambrie does not give up and reaches her goal and poor Lt Daly is blown away.
He immediately emails back giving her his full permission for letting her "adopt" him. The cyber "adoption" soon turns in to more than just "how are you", "what are you doing" emails. A full blown out sexual back and forth flirtation takes place and neither Lt.Daly or Cambrie can control themselves and the conversations get hotter and hotter.
If you are not into wild, crazy kinky sex games then this book is definitely not for you, if however, like myself, you can manage to look past this and see the story of two lovers who has a beautiful chance at life then you will not be disappointed. Christina James has a really unique and interesting approach of telling a lover's tale.
However, there was one thing about the book that did annoy me, the swearing. When it comes to dirty talk between the characters certain sentences are acceptable but the author does go overboard in certain scenes that not only made me cringe, but also made me think twice of wanting to continue the read. The passion between Miller and Cambrie would still be just as hot without so many swear words. I also feel the author could have given us a little more action when describing Miller's missions, just that little bit of real hero action would have been nice. But swear words and lack of information aside it is overall a good read.
Another good read, I can't wait for more in this series!! Cambrie needs something to impress the military to secure a grant for the library she works at and keep her job. She contacts her old college roommate Emma to see if her new husband Finn has any suggestions. To get back at his old team for signing him up as a pen pal with Emma, Finn gives Miller Daly's info to Cambrie to 'adopt' a soldier. Miller has been dreaming about a woman for a while now, and while he initially resists the program, Cambrie won't give up and once he sees her picture, he realizes she is her woman!! Miller stops in to see Cambrie whenever he is in the states, but she is 4 hours away from his home base. He loves the military and can't see leaving and she has to care for her elderly aunt and can't leave her home. They embark on a hot and passionate affair, choosing to concentrate on the now instead of the future. Everything works out in the end, but it is a sweet story to get there, more please!!
I try to be pretty good about my one-star reviews. What I did like about this story was the premise. But the rest of the problems with it outweighed that like enough that I ultimately decided I didn't care for the story that much. The writing seemed spotty, quite repetitious, and only strong in certain sections instead of across the entire book. The characterizations were too inconsistent for me, with some of the words spoken by the characters making me literally roll my eyes at times. There was no true "black moment" when all hope is lost and the pacing never seemed to build any tension as the story was unfolding.
"This is another fantastic read from Christina James, not only does she write a scorching story but you get a visit from some of my favorite characters from her first book, Operation: Spank Me."
Wow, another hot story that starts out with cyber sex between a Navy SEAL and a librarian and progresses to some smokin' hot sex when they actually meet up. Great story and it was nice to have a glimpse of Emma and Finn from the previous book.
Was pretty good. I liked it and would read more by this author. More like a mainstream romance than erotica though. I like the librarian theme lol. Something about all those books and the idea of the repressed librarian.
wow this was really nice. i love this book. the sex is great, the story is nice and fun ans romantic. i also read operation: spank me and i really enjoyed it too...so i'm looking forward 4 the next
