Look no further for your next Advent devotional! Lee Warren has written a creative, informative, and family friendly introduction to the days ahead of Christ's birth. Each chapter delights with adjoining readings for younger ones and for older children as well as adults. He includes fulfilled prophecy, symbols and traditions, crafts and projects. Every day has a written prayer, a Christmas carol, and a devotion plus so much more. The names of Jesus are a part of the instructive book, a verse for the daily sections, and ways to share the Christmas experience with others. You can begin on December first and continue on past Christmas day until December 31st. This advent worship adventure has something for everyone in the family. I highly recommend using The Experience of Christmas for a thoughtful, spiritual, and prayerful advent season! All ages will glean valuable information, spiritual insight, and adoration of the Christ child.

Thank you, Lee Warren for supplying me with The Christmas Experience for my honest review which I have given.

I liked the format of this book, it provided; a text, theme, thought, questions, prayers and a hymn for each family devotion. The author attempted to provide a balance between helping others and honouring Christ — it became evident as the month progressed, that the authors theological leanings tipped the scale heavily to the social works side of the scale. For our purposes we simply expanded on this with our children each night.

This has been a wonderful Christmas tradition for several years. Now that our children are either almost or in their teen years, we're moving on to a different book. I'm planning to save this one, though, for future generations. Highly recommended!
