Better than the first book. Well, I guess this time I knew what the book was all about so I longer had any expectations. I just picked this, read whenever I felt like I wanted to have a good laugh and the whole thing worked! I liked this book!

Chico and Delamar are DJ's of a very popular radio morning show here in the Philippines called "The Morning Rush." Most people who listen to them in our office are those with cars or those who commute wearing earphones on their heads. I used to be a rusher but after reading the first book and I knew the second book was coming, I stopped and switched to Mr. Fu hahaha! Why? Because there is no use listening to their daily Top 10 topics if I could read all the best ones in book form. This was the reason why I did not like the first book: I've already heard over the radio most of those that they included in it. Why listen to the program then spend money for a book only to read what you already heard? Because you enjoy reminiscing the jokes? Oh, trust me, there are so many other good books than this. Waste of money and time. Either you listen to their program or buy the book. You are just making Chico and Delamar richer than you.

Also, are these people sharing their income from the proceeds of this book with the contributors (their listeners)? The entries to the Top 10 are mostly witty and/or funny. Because this series is selling well, they should pay royalty to their contributors. Also, why oh why Chico and Delamar (and now Gino) claim themselves as the authors of this book when all they did was to write the "About the Authors" section? Are they really the authors? Meaning all the while they are fooling their listeners because they are the ones writing the entries? Don't you think they should call themselves instead as "editors" rather than "authors?" Remember that the entries are mostly sent (according to them) through text messages. Hmmm, I smell something fishy.

Maybe I should listen to their program again and check this for myself. But then, I will not buy Book 3 and allow myself to be fooled by them.

I used to listen to Chico & Delamar way back during high school. They were entertaining on radio but I was not expecting much on print. A Christmas gift from my sister. It was okay. Like a feel-good, easy-to-read stuff.

Nakakatuwa pa rin naman sya, pero mas benta lang talaga yung una. At dahil P195 din to, pwedeng hiram nalang sa kakilala. Pero syempre, iba kapag sayo ang kopya... ^^

Chico Garcia and Delamar Arias, hosts of 93.1 The Morning Rush, is the most sought out tandem in the 90's. They have surpassed the 15 year mark and they are doing it so well that you couldn't even feel that they've been on air for that long. I used to listen to them back in elementary but stopped when I was in high school. I was a silent Rusher (that's what they call their listeners) and I came back listening to them, surprised that there was the Chichi and Gigi show...I was thinking, were was Delamar? It turns out she was on maternity leave and when she came back...the Chico and Delamar love team became the kikay barkada with the addition of Gino Quillamor...the show was never the same again, it became more kikay and gay (?)..lotsa laughs...included and it renewed my love for the show. I even laugh when on the road and in my cube at work. This book is the compilation of Rushers most hilarious entries for the out of this world top 10 topics. The first book was to commemorate the duo's 15 years on radio and this sequel one year later is as funny as the first one. The DJs even wrote each other's about the author (well technically the Rushers are the authors and they should be called compilers (?) but oh well...) pages and it is downright funny; more like what is this person in their eyes. And the cartoons in those pages...hilarious!

Chico, Delamar and Gino are DJ's from a local radio station in the Philippines.

The TOP 10 is a segment on their show where they choose a topic (i.e. Stupidest Thing Your Friends Have Said or Embarassing Mommy Moments, etc.) then they ask their listeners to give their entries and they choose the best 10 answers every hour. This book is a complition of the best topics and funniest entries from the listeners.

This is actually a fan book since if you haven't listened to the show you probably would not like the book. :-( It's a fun enough book but I think I liked the first one better. :-)

3-3.5/5 I must say I still like the first book than this second one. Maybe because the first one had a variation of topics, unlike this second book, which mostly has love, sex, and those fad topics today: beki problems, mature topics. Some (if not several) of the jokes are even old.

But if you like the first book and you're a fan of RXTMR, I think you should check it out.

I admit I still got a load of fun from reading this book. I also recommend sharing and reading it with your friends, you will definitely have a good time sharing laughs together! :)

I like the first book, but I love the second book even more. Plus, I didn't realize I was reading the book for the third time until after I read it. I also love the fact that you can customize the cover and turn it into the kind of book cover that you prefer. Of course, I like that an entry of mine made it to the second book, but I guess I find the Top Ten topics funnier this time. Highly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of The Morning Rush, or if you just want to have a great laugh. Also, it's a perfect Christmas gift as it's only P195.

The humor of Pinoys is a force to reckon with. We're the happiest and most emotional people in the world after all, right? It may be hard to recommend this to foreigner-friends but as a Filipino who enjoys a silly laugh or two, it certainly gave me laughing-out-loud-while-reading moments many times. Good thing I was only at home. :) Not everything is that funny but some of them are too close to the bone brutal [as Pinoy humor goes], you cannot help but laugh...sometimes at yourself.
I still like the first one better but this one is also a fun read.

Whereas the first installment featured Chico and Delamar, the second volume added Gino as part of the crew. Obstinately pushing their limits to the extreme with a sometimes KBP-may-care attitude, this compilation comes off as a little redundant. Granted, some new 'insights' are added, and one could even argue that its purpose is exactly to elicit humor out of mere compilations. However, several entries would evoke I-heard-that-song-before sentiments, before dismissing those reservations and excusing the book entirely from any further misgivings.

The Morning Rush is my radio program of choice going to and from school. It's good to laugh with these fun and crazy DJs, even when heavy traffic and other moronic drivers are testing my patience. This book is a second collation of all their daily Top 10. Though some of them may not read as funny as when heard on air, it's remembering how the DJs put color into these jokes and laugh maniacally at their own vivid interpretation that makes me start laughing myself.

The much awaited sequel from the award winning radio jocks from RX 93.1 :)
The illustrations added some laughs on this books because its the authors themselves are in it. I like the way they wrote "About the Authors"
The book is funny the way you hear them delivered every morning on the radio.

Truly that the Book 2 is better than the Book 1.

Mas madaming nakakatawang entries at mas maraming breathtaking topics! HAHA. Hindi ako nakikinig ng The Morning Rush pero this book was really good. Pati 'yung mga drawing nakakaaliw tignan.

Pakiramdam ko, mas maganda yung naunang libro. Mas diverse and mga topics. Dito, parang naging paulit ulit ang mga topics. May mga ilang beses din akong nangiti, pero di ako nahalakhak. Kaya OK lang.

A quick and witty read. I find this entertaining mostly because I also listen to The Morning Rush so I sometimes remember the discussions about the witty remarks from other listeners.

Mas maganda pa din ang book 1. More on kalokohan and katuwaan tong book 2 eh. Dun sa una may nakakaiyak, nakakatakot, nakakadiri. Parang naging mababaw yung book 2. But I still enjoyed it.
