When was the last time you read a book and when done immediately decided you were going to read it again? This book does that to you. This is the book you stay up all night to read, the book you call out sick to read, the book that will cause immediate withdrawal once done and the book that you will not be able to put down once you start.

Betrayal is THE highly anticipated follow-up to 1. Exposed and 2. Deception. Normally when writers wait so long after a cliffhanger they give the readers a rushed job, they fill the book up with past events and one event to solve the cliffhanger but not Maureen Smith aka Naomi Chase. What she gave the readers should be the blueprint on how a follow-up book should be written. A master of her craft her gift with the pen is absolutely fierce. The story flow so smoothly after the last and she did not filled it with walks down memory lane. The story contained so many twists and turns that guessing the outcome of any given situation proved fruitless. The twists were so intricate that you'll sit on the edge of your seat to see how she's going to pull it off and pull it off she did. If you have been following the saga of Tamia, Brandon, Dominic and Cynthia then you are in for a delicious treat. Warning: not for the faint of heart and its recommended that its read slowly with a chill glass nearby. Sorry did you think I was going to tell you who Brandon picked? Nope no spoilers from me.

What can I say, that was definitely a roller coaster of emotions! One minute I'm team Brandon, the next I'm team Dominic and then I'm like forget them both lol! Still love Tamia and despise Cynthia. My love hate for Fiona leans more to the likeable side. All kinds of secrets were revealed, putting all the pieces to the missing puzzle together, even the pieces you didn't know we're missing. This book will have you shaking your head, cussing characters out, loving them, hating them, along with wishing some a happy ending and hoping others see their demise. But you gotta read to find out what fate each is given. Another good book and I'm looking forward to the next installment I got a sneak peak at....just when you think all's well that ends well...

Wow, what a rollercoaster! I’m still reeling from the dizzying twists and turns and the unexpected outcome. Chase finished the series with a bang, and it was a great way to wrap things up. It was not only interesting to see how all the characters’ lives were interwoven, but every loose end was tied up.

So this story opens with Brandon still treating Cynthia in an appalling manner. Granted, she had no business going to see Tamia, but him not answering her calls or texts seemed so ridiculous and immature, esp. when they lived together and she simply wanted to know where he was because he didn’t come home. Then he had the audacity to say she wasn’t the person he thought she was. Meanwhile, he’s doing a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde impersonation.

Cynthia, however, took a detour into crazy town and showed her true colors, and so did a lot of people, a couple of whom took me by complete surprise .

I have to admit to being a bit bothered by how comfortable Tamia was with Dominic. She enjoyed being with him way too much during the period she and Brandon were apart—not just sexually, but at one point she envisioned herself married to Dominic. She was way too torn about her feelings between them, and I guess I wanted it to be much clearer that Brandon was the one she was really feeling. There were moments when I had my doubts.

There were a couple of scenes that were intense and emotional (i.e. Brandon barging into her apartment and taking her against the wall—ooh la la!), and the beat down that Brandon gave Dominic was soooo overdue because Dominic was taunting Brandon and being a complete a$$. I guess he thought Brandon wouldn’t do anything in front of all those people—but he thought wrong. LOL.

-Lots of hot, raunchy sex, a constant throughout the series
-Twists and turns that blew my mind
-Warm fuzzies, shown through the emotional connection between Brandon and Tamia
- DRAMA!

Final thought: The three books in this series are recommended for anyone who likes dramatic fiction. You won’t be disappointed.

Audiobook

Narration REALLY good - borderline Kick Ass
She does such a great job switching between characters, showing proper emotion, accents, really terrific job Diana Luke!

Well this ends the series,(I think, although there are hints that there's more story with Brandon's brother and sister) and I gotta say I loved it. Total Scooby Doo ending again, but with everything that went on, there just had to be a Scooby Doo recap to pull it all together I suppose.

I read a couple reviews before I started this and in two sentences someone (without spoiler alert) totally gave the outcome away so DON'T READ THE REVIEWS before you start reading if you want to experience the emotional rollercoaster as it should be experienced!

These characters are bat-shit crazy, lippy, saucy, big cheaters (dang near all of them)

If you hate stories with cheating - DO NOT READ - it will piss you off because he's a cheater, she's a cheater, he's a cheater, he's a cheater and he's a cheater - Oh, and she's a cheater! I think that's all of them.
Read the first two in the series first, and if you read them, you HAVE to read this one, so that's all I'm gonna say about it!

GREAT BOOK!

An enjoyable end to this series. Very mysterious and erotic.
Tamia wants what she wants but at what cause is shes willing to go.
Once she thinks she can move on without Brandon things backfire and she's right back in his arms.
But with Brandon future wife wanting whats hers she does everything in her power to get Tamia out of Brandon's life.
With questions to a mystery note to Tamia she wonders who to trust and who maybe out to get her.

Enjoyed a lot.

Yooooo! I loved this book. All the drama....the lies...the betrayal! This was sooooo good. At one point I want rooting for anyone. Tamia got on my everlasting nerves. she couldn't make the right decision to save her life. Every time she had a choice to make, she made the wrong choice. It wasn't until the end of the book, when all the deception was revealed that i started to root for her.
I couldn't figure Cynthia out. Her personality completely changed from the first book to the third. She was a cool chick initially. By this book she got under my skin. I kept asking myself why was she working so hard to get Brandon? I didn't feel like she loved him. I felt like she didn't want to lose especially to a former porn star. Her parents were nuts and waaaay too invested in her life. To go to such lengths to destroy a complete stranger so their daughter can marry some dude, that's crazy. I would never.
As for Dominic, I couldn't stand him and was so confused why Tamia would go into business with and sleep with this creep. Everything about him was deceitful. I wouldn't trust him to tell me the weather, let alone take a romantic trip with him. I couldn't believe Tamia didn't get suspicious that they kept running into Brandon. This dude had a motive! I can't believe there were so many people Team Dominic. Hell naw!
I knew Lou had something to do with everything I just didn't know how. And I was suspicious of Honey. She knew that girl for a week and she showed up on her door asking for help? Maybe I'm just a naturally suspicious person.
Anyways, this book had it all. even a HEA. Loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Enjoyable read! This book has me waiting and wanting to know what happens in the next book. Good fast read.. I don't want to be a spoiler BUT I am glad that Tamia and Brandon finally got to the bottom of things and made it happen.... despite all of their obstacles.
I love how Brandon doesn't have an issue with standing up to his parents when it comes to how he feels.

BETRAYAL - NAOMI CHASE

GAME, SET, MATCH!

In the realm of knowledgable Tennis lingo, the above term means that "a person has definitively beaten the opposition in a given situation". Ms. Naomi Chase, has without a doubt, risen to the challenge and accomplished the vanquishing of all competition, in the arena of literary excellence.

I have read the comments of many readers setting forth their constant and numerous diatribes concerning the length of days, months, and years within which Ms. Chase has delegated herself to the completion of this 3 book series. Well folks, I can honestly say that the manner in which Ms. Chase has generated the, "Put her foot in it", and "Make you want to slap your Mama" type of feelings, her time was well spent. Not only has she precipitated an enormous amount of feelings to swirl and dance, upon the stage of the utopia of your inner being, but she has successfully made you forget the time upon which she left us to contemplate whether or not we would ever hear from her again! With the successful completion of this spellbinding and intriguing conclusion of the most anticipated sequel, Ms. Chase has effectively and conclusively silenced all critics, past, present, future and forever more!

With the deliberate and masterful stroke of her award winning pen, this astounding author has delivered the best read of 2014.

On the stage of the legal arena, I stand forth to challenge the law known as double jeopardy. A law which says that a person cannot be tried for the same offense twice. I not only accuse Ms. Chase but I want to convict and render a guilty verdict pertaining to the commission of such crime. You be the judge. You see, Ms. Chase has managed to do the unimaginable! Under the name of Maureen Smith she stepped into the arena and vanquished all would be contenders by her blockbuster 2014 writing of "Seducing the Wolf" and after that vanquishing, she once again breaks the law, and under the name of Naomi Chase, within a few months', she sets forth, and not only vanquishes her formidable contemporary foes, but she ANNIHILATES THEM ALL!!

GUILTY AS CHARGED!!!

Ms. Chase takes us on a very emotional and enjoyable vacation from the the drabness of our reality and renders her readers speechless at her superb writing of BETRAYAL. She leaves none of our emotions to hide within the closet of darkness. She shines light in every corner of your emotional repertoire, upon which darkness would wish to intrude, cover and suppress. If you want romance - pick up this book. If you want erotica - pick up this book. If you want intrigue. - pick up this book. If you want true love - pick up this book. If you want humor - pick up this book. If you want an example of familia forgiveness - pick up this book. Whatever emotional itch you want scratched, this writer will lend her ability to relieve and bring satisfaction to any and all areas of your distress.

Whatever you are doing to negate your obtainment of the most prolific writing of 2014, I adjure you to STOP and INUNDATE and IMMERSE your voracious reading appetite with the beautiful story of Brandon and Tamia. Run the gamut of your emotions, and at the end of your reading journey, join me in raising the hand of Ms. Naomi Chase as the winner of the Battle of the writing Titans!

The Winner and Still Champion - MS. NAOMI CHASE!!

The fat lady has sung, dropped the mic and exited the stage!

Not much time has pass since Tamia Luke's acquittal of murder, and not nearly enough time to even catch a breather from the 'Exposed' [book 1] lies that disrupted her life or the 'Deception' [book 2] that left her relationship tattered with the one man she has truly desired and loved, Brandon. With his sense of responsibility, Brandon is set to marry Cynthia out of duty but Tamia still wants her chance at happiness. But when Dominic comes back into her life and unseen danger becomes eminent, the betrayal is of profound proportions and comes to a head quickly.

Ok, whew, first let me say this book was the most highly anticipated book I have ever waited on in my life as a reader. I was on pins and needles as the countdown to its release winded down. I wondered would it live up to two years in the making... and did it ever! I can't explain the emotions I went through reading this book. It took me from Tuesday (release day) to Saturday to finish this book: why? Because it was that amazing! Like a hot cup of cocoa on the coldest winter morning. I read very slow to savor it: on one hand I wanted to know what happens, but then again it was so good I did not want it to end.

The plot was sensational! I enjoyed the fact that the timeline allowed for easy following from one book to the next; it was consistent and accurate with what occurred in books 1 and 2 in the series. The story line provided me with more and then some. There was nail-biting suspense that left my stomach in knots. The drama was oozing from every articulated word that leapt from the page. It was like it played out in my mind; like I was there. And let's not forget the characters' development and their interactions. O.M.G, I swear it was as if it was real life and I nosily stumbled upon them and watched their every move. Characters such as Brandon and Tamia have to be based off of real people N.C knows because they were just that vibrant and captivating; especially 'B'! Their development from book to book was on point and I saw growth and in some cases the true colors of the major and minor characters within this series. Their salacious interactions kept my mind spinning and heart racing!

There were no frivolous fillers; even the most minute details gave me life as I read. Every question I ever had from books 1 and 2 were answered by the end of this book and I loved that the conclusion and epilogue were carefully thought out and not rushed. My mind is still mulling over this book as I contemplate my next read. Naomi Chase put her whole leg..not even foot into this book and the wait was so worth it as I knew it would be! I look forward to the next in this series!

Kudos 'Oh Ruthless One' (as we so affectionately call you lol)!

It has been a little over two years since Deception hit the stands.  To say this was a long, excrutiating wait is the understatement of the year.   Was it worth it?  Hell yeah!  Once again Ms. Naomi Chase delivered a book full of tears, laughter, anger and frustration.  She weaved a tale that leaves you unsure who you should be rooting for and who you want to go "straight gangsta" on yourself.  This was another emotional rollercoaster ride that left me reeling.  I anxiously waited over an hour for Amazon to deliver my pre-order and I could not put it down.  Thank you again for another heart-wrenching story.

A word of warning, this is not a stand alone book, if you have not read Exposed or Deception, you will be missing out on a lot of key information.

Oh and Ms. Chase:  To #19  HELL YEAH!!

Outstanding! Fantastic! Incredibly & amazingly great. 5 out of 5 stars just doesn't do this book, story, nor entire triliogy, justice. Simply, the best series I've ever read. I've said it before and there's no confirmation needed; Maureen Smith/Naomi Chase is my #1 favorite author. She most certainly scored a touchdown, hit a home run, slam dunked, and scored a goal, all in one, with all 3 of these books individually, and collectively. Without giving anything away, I'm also very please with the way this one ended. Kudos to you, Ms. Chase. You deserve every award that I know you have received, and will receive for this one. Now, I'm just patiently......nah, who am I kidding; impatiently, awaiting book #3 in the Brand Brothers series, Whatever You Need. If this book is anything like the the 1st 2 in this series, Anyway You Want It, and Whatever You Like, then I'm going to need to wear heat resistant gloves just to hold my kindle when this book is queued up. Man, those 2 were scorchers, and I'm sure #3 will be just as blazing. If you've read Exposed, and Deception, and haven't read Betrayal, yet, drop everything that you are doing, and jump into this book immediately. If you haven't read this series, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Go directly to some store, get the 1st book, Exposed, and start reading an absolutely great story, by one the premier erotic thriller writers that I've read, in an awfully long time. I promise, you wont be disappointed.

For the third book in the Exposed trilogy, Chase weaves a story with a strong-willed protagonist adamant on getting what she wants and seeking revenge for those getting in her way. After tragedy, a trial, and now her lover about to marry another for appearances, Tamia softens when Brandon comes around. Likewise, Brandon still wants Tamia, but with her background in pornography and a baby on the way by another, it cannot be. That is until sex, scandal, and lies turn Brandon back to Tamia and their unbreakable bond. She knows they are right for each other and once she figures out who is behind keeping them apart, she exacts her own payback and gets something that will keep them together.

The final book brings Brandon and Tamia full-circle with a resolution that will appeal to readers with action, plenty of steamy sex, and minimal violence making it a tantalizing finish for urban fiction devotees wanting to see Tamia win at all costs. With plenty of characters that have been introduced over the series, Chase gives each of them their comeuppance that never feels unrealistic. The characters are fully-developed with motivations that readers can empathize with. This alone gives the series the boost to be top-shelf.

What can I say other than Naomi Chase is a true master of the arts! This book was the long awaited book in the Exposed Series and it was well worth the wait. I went through so many emotions from, anger, depression, frustration, rage, and then hope. Believe me there were times in this book that I was completely and thoroughly done with all four main characters. Tamia and Brandon had been through so much, Naomi weaved this story with so many twist and turns, but it got to where I wanted it to be. So I have to say, to all those Dominic fans, all of you including him, can have several seats! Brava Naomi Chase Brava!

This was a great read I absolutely loved this book I couldn't put it down. I'm so glad Brandon and Tamia got together got married and had a baby was so glad Dominic wasn't the father. To me he never changed he was the same snake he's always been and I'm glad he lost in the end. I was so glad that Cynthia and her parents were outed I never liked Cynthia I'm glad she wasn't really pregnant but the shocked the heck out of me as to how crazy she was. Overall I would recommend this book to EVERYBODY

This was an excellent book. Loved the drama, the betrayal and the romance. Brandon is still the man, with his gangster ways. He knows how to be professional as well as down to earth. Tamia had me a little upset but she came to her senses. Cynthia is still a disparate, clingy women. Dominic is still the devil. All of these characters made for a very good story.

Brandon Chambers is the love of Tamia Luke’s life but he is engaged to Cynthia Yarborough
Brandon’s family favors Cynthia over Tamia.
Appearances is everything in the Chambers family and Brandon is between a rock and a hard place.
Betrayal is the 3rd installment in a series.
Betrayal will have readers turning pages.

So first let me start by saying I enjoyed this series....now let’s get to the spoiler alerts and start this discussion. I could not root for Tamia in this book because she made too many poor choices. First it was stupid to go back and forth in an argument with Dominic in the restaurant. She tells him to leave, orders a drink, goes to the bathroom to call Brandon, when she comes back Dominic is sitting at her table after she told him to go away. Why the hell would sit down and drink from your unattended glass!? Of course he drugged you! Then she sits down and argues with him because he won’t leave. Hello!!!! You leave! She’s hoping that her ex boyfriend shows up to meet her. News flash if you leave and he shows up and you are not there I’m pretty sure he will call you to find out where you are. She had all the power in this situation and she relinquished it. I also didn’t feel sorry for her because who gets in a relationship with their blackmailer, #huh #confused. I can’t with these poor decisions. Fool me once shame on you, twice shame on me. I was so disappointed in how Cynthia became so desperate. If she had stayed that strong go getter woman that Brandon admired she probably could have actually had a real relationship with him.

Riveting conclusion to a series filled with twists, turns, deceit, manipulation, obsession, and yes, love. In this book, I was all in for Tamia and Brandon. They went through it! Of course, Tamia continued her pattern of bad decisions but she wised up eventually. I was completely invested in the entire series and read this book in a day because I couldn't put it down. I loved Fiona's crazy behind and the energy she brought to the series added an air of comedy. Brandon was a beast and Tamia was his ride or die. This couple had to work overtime for a second chance and their were a few times that I wasn't sure it was going to happen. The plan to part these two in book one and worked to keep them apart for the rest of the series was diabolical. I suspected the people involved in the plot but wasn't sure if it would be uncovered in time. I'm still processing all the crazy from this series which was nicely concluded by the author in this book. I'm curious to see what happens with Brandon's siblings, Dre, and even Fiona down the line. The narrator did a phenomenal job bringing each character to life with their own distinctive voice. Well done Ms. Chase!
