Lab Rats tells the story of the rise, fall, and possible redemption of Walter Most, a biotechnology researcher with conflicting morals. Part romantic comedy, part a tale of the costs and benefits of honest, Lab Rats is fast, smart and funny.
Full disclosure--I dated Stuart in high school. So, since someone is generally more than happy to pan an ex's book, a positive review must mean she actually liked it.
Lab Rats is about how the small unconscious (or semi-conscious) choices we make can build up to big mistakes. How do our little decisions each day sometimes turn us into someone we don't like?
But the book is also funny, in a tongue-in-cheek way that I enjoy.
In 'Lab Rats', Spitalnic spins a witty tale about the dark side of Big Pharma and a sympathetic (but not-so-scrupulous) researcher who gets caught up in its culture of deceit. A quick, fun read that shines a little light into the underbelly of the pharmaceutical industry.
