Part of the "Adventures at Hound Hotel" series, this book follows twins Alfie and Alfreeda whose mother runs a dog boarding facility. In this book each is dealing with anxiety, but in helping a dog frightened by a storm they are able to overcome their own fears and help each other as well as the dog. This is an easy chapter book series with occasional color illustrations, perfect for transitional readers who love dogs.

Very accessible for 2nd graders in general and specifically dog lovers at that age level. Nice display of text and illustrations and a perfect length. I'll be purchasing this set for my library!

I really like that it has color illustrations and I think very young readers will like the story line, but I think it would be a hard cheesy sell to second grade and up.
