Stranded Temptation

Rate this book
Stranded together, their passions will run wild.

Kara has a deep dislike for her boss, Max. She also wants him so badly it’s making her nuts. He’s a workaholic, a robot man. And he’s never shown the least bit of interest in her or anything else that wasn’t recorded in the corporate minutes. But when their plane crashes on the way to a meeting, leaving them stranded on a deserted island…just the two of them, all alone with all that ocean around them…Kara decides it’s time to start living. And by living, she means using Max for all the hot sex she’s been denied.

Max wants Kara—has wanted her for a long time. Unable to come out and cross the line between professional and personal, he makes her accompany him on business trips just to have her around. When they crash land and Kara shows him how much she wants him, he decides to quit being so professional and take the woman of his dreams. After all, what happens in the middle of nowhere, stays in the middle of nowhere. Until they’re rescued.

Back in the real world, things aren’t as easy. Kara is afraid to start a relationship with a man who completely ignored her until she took off her clothes, and Max is afraid she’ll never be able to trust him. But when someone makes it clear that Kara’s in danger, Max has more to protect than Kara’s feelings. And now that he has her, he’s not about to let her go.

Honestly, this story was very unbelievable and not in a good way. It lacked transitions and was overall forgettable. It was an okay book to pass the time but i wouldn't recommend it. The majority of this book consisted of an unbelievable plot, no transitions, rushed actions scenes, uninteresting characters, and smut. I've liked previous books from this author before but this one really fell flat for me. 1.75 stars.

Everything about Max drives Kara nuts, he is stunningly handsome, a work-a-holic, and her boss. Max doesn't seem to be able to draw the line where Kara is concerned, often requiring her to cancel plans in order to work. He knows he should feel guilty, but he genuinely likes Kara even though he doesn't want to cross the line between employee and employer. That all changes though when the plane they are on crashes and the thought of dying has them both reaching out for the one thing the want, each other.

Delightful read, there is more to the story but I don't want to give too much away. I thought the way Max was introduced you kind of expect this heel of a boss, but he is actually quite endearing and vulnerable. The chemistry is electrifying, fun way to put your feet up.

Actually 3.5 stars

Businesswoman Kara isn't sure if she wants to kiss or kill her boss, Max. On one hand, he's smart, attractive, and driven. On the other hand, he's a workaholic who wants her to cancel her birthday cruise for a business trip. When their private plane goes down on a deserted island -- they both decide on kissing as the best option, until they realize they're not alone on the island.

So, about half of this book is the stuck-on-a-seemingly-deserted-island and half about who's stealing from his company (and how far they'll go to succeed). Most of the time it works, but the plot about the almost seems like a throwaway (or maybe it's just meant to be a red herring). Plus, the fact that Kara and Max's first reaction to not dying in a plane crash is to have sex (even before making sure they're actually safe) didn't seem to fit with the previous part of the book. So, this is good, but it could have been great.

I'm a big fan of the author, Milly Taiden and her awesome stories :) This was definitely no exception to that, this was a great, fast-paced story with suspense, passion, adventure filled with action; including carnal pleasures ones ;) and a 100% guaranteed happy ending for the main characters, Max and his Kara <3 I can't wait for the next story from this author! :)

This review was originally posted on my blog.

Not too long ago, I teased you with a gushing and sizzling hot review on Mr. Buff by April Angel. Remember that one? Well, April has done it again. If I thought for a minute that she couldn’t top that one, I was proven WRONG. This is how I felt after reading it the first time

This is how I felt after reading it a second time. Giggity.

I loved the story began by establishing that Max and Kara were already well acquainted with each other. They may be boss and employee, but the office atmosphere seems very relaxed and they’re friends first, sort off. Max is an insufferable workaholic and relies heavily on Kara. She on the other hand has had no social life and even less sex since she’s usually at Max’s beck and call. They have great chemistry that walks a fine line between lust and murder, on her part. Max is just besotted by her but won’t act on his attraction for reasons that are honorable, however he has little success convincing his other head that it’d be best to keep his hands off her. Kara is seriously considering quitting her job in favor of finding time to date again, but first there’s a business trip to attend to. When the plane makes an unexpected crash landing on a deserted island, the sun isn’t the only thing to scorch the sand. They not only discover just how perfect they are for one another, but one the haze of lust and passion lifts and they return to the real world, will what they shared be enough to lead to something more? And what if the crash wasn’t an accident? Someone is out to get Kara, and Max is determined to keep her safe and keep her his.

The author can write erotic scenes like no one else I know. It’s carnal, raw, toe-curling good and so very graphic. Max and Kara do a position on the beach that is so deliciously wicked, and I marvel at any couple who can pull it off.

But this isn’t just all sex and no content. I love her plots with characters who have successful careers who are ready to settle down. While some authors tend to exploit a heroine’s insecurities to drag out the “chase”, Ms Angel doesn’t so that. When Kara finds herself falling for Max, she’s a little hesitant, but she listens to her heart. The heart wants what the heart wants.Although we don’t get a more in-depth back story on them, they still come across as relatable and instantly likeable. I didn’t need to know about their childhoods and family life for them to pass muster.

The suspense portion of the story may have been a bit predictable, but it made Max and Kara grow closer and acknowledge their feelings a lot faster. The tone of the story was mostly flirty, playful and funny.

When she was fully naked before him, she crooked a finger and beckoned him toward her. “Let’s go, hot buns.” He lifted his brows in surprise at her words and she giggled.

He devoured her with his gaze. “Hot buns?”

“Oh, yeah. Your ass is so fine I want to take a bite out of it.” She growled, chomped her teeth, and then licked her lips.

This is erotic romance at it’s finest! I would buy every single book ever written by April Angel, and all you pervy friends of mine had better start reading! I promise you won’t be sorry.

Favorite non-sexual moments of the story:

#1 His birthday surprise for her. That made my heart skip a beat.

#2 The moment they return to their island, she shares some news with him and he drops her.

Yet again April Angel burns the pages with Stranded Temptation.

This was hot on so many levels, dreamy and definitely a page turner.

I loved Max. He was sexy and the perfect dominant, strong male protagonist. I wanted to crawl under his skin and stay there for a damn long time.

The glimpse of suspense was also a new direction for April Angel and I really liked it.

I would've loved for this to be drawn out a lot longer and made into a novel. I wanted them to spend so much more time stranded that my heart clenched in disappointment when they were rescued so early.

Yet again, two thumbs up for April. Can't wait for the next one.

LOVED it! Action, suspense, heat, a crash landing.... what else could you want in a book? I loved the office romance portion of this. Well, ok, so more of they want each other but Kara wants to brutally murder her boss because not only does he make her work all kinds of crazy hours but he makes her sex drive spin out of control, oh and she has to miss a cruise with her best friend to go off to South America with him. Twist and turns and not a moment of down time. Be prepared to pull an all nighter when you read, because there is not a good spot to put it down!

This is such an amazing read. Packed full of action, danger, teamwork, attraction, friendship, love and attempted murder, this is a book for everyone! Max is amazing. Kara works for Max. Max does everything he can so Kara cant date. Kara thinks Max is the boss from hell and her personal life is non existent. When they survive a plane crash they decide to take a chance with each other. Follow these two on a action packed adventure and find out if they survive.

As we know Milly Taiden is awesome in her writing skills. I was hooked from page 1. Kara is our everyday women that takes life by the horns. We get pulled in with the Sexy boss Max who as you read is a workaholic. So when the 2 of them have a business trip to go on all things come together and there are some twist and turns that will wow you and keep you reading to the end. Loved this and ready for the next book.

I really loved this story the characters are so relatable. Denying themselves who and what they want for the good of their careers , but you can only deny yourself so long before it affects you... Kara and Max were hot, funny and lovable.. This book was sexy, exciting and kept me hooked... Hope to see Brian gets hit by the love bug in the next book...

Disappointing

I love the premise. Plane crash romance books are a guilty favorite, so I was thrilled when I saw the synopsis of this book, especially since I have enjoyed milly taidens other books. Unfortunately, this book reads like a rough draft. Chapters 10 through 13 are so rough, it reads very disjointed, almost amateurish. There are also a ton of mistakes. Little things like your instead of you, extra words, confusing sentences, etc, that are fine occasionally, but are all over the place. It tells me the author didn't bother with even a quick proof read, let alone any real editing. It bothers me when a good writer publishes a book so far out of their norm of quality. The characters are all too stupid to live, with ridiculous plot elements that go from uniquely bizarre to just bad writing. The final confrontation is ridiculously stupid. Such a disappointment. I'd really recommend most anything else by this author. Normally, her books are wonderful escapes

I was warned before I bought this book that it would be a really hot read. I should've listened.

Kara was tired of having to do what Max wanted. She was really looking forward to her cruise with her friend. Needless to say that Max wanted her to go with him to find out who was taking money from his company. Kara was mad she wanted sex and was getting tired of working all the time.

Everything changes when they are stranded together. It is hot and fast. I wanted to be able to get in the ocean to calm down. Well you should know with all of April Angels books that there has to be some suspense. She likes to get us any way that she can. We are hooked either way. It is hard to put the book down until you reach the last page. Boy what an ending. I am not foing through withdrawals waiting on the next book that she decides to write.

These books should come with a warning.

I strongly recommend not attempting to read this with kids running around like I did. It will leave you frustrated. And by frustrated I mean exactly what your dirty mind is thinking. LOL This is an erotica author I will defnitely be following from now on. I do so like my sex with an actual romantic storyline attached to it. (slight caveat for erotic poetry--no "story" necessary)

At first I thought this books was going to be the same classic, lusting after boss, work affair... Well no way. Nobody takes a classic story and makes it quite so hot!

Stranded on a beach with two survivalists and lots of lust. What could happen...

Loved this book!

Stranded Temptation is the latest book from Milly Taiden. In this story we meet Kara & her boss, Max & follow them on their danger filled road to happily ever after.

Kara has just about had it with her overbearing boss. He's got her working so much, she no longer has a life that doesn't involve the office. Now he's cancelled her much needed vacation in order to take her with him to South America for a business conference. This is the last straw for Kara & she's going to hand in her notice. She doesn't care how attracted to him she is, she needs a life that doesn't include him. Doesn't she?

Max knows he's pushing his luck by keeping Kara at work so much. He knows she hates him, so he can't ask her out, but he can't stand the thought of her with someone else. Then something goes wrong on the way to the meeting & their plane crashes on a deserted island. Max decides he's tired of holding back & is going to go after what he wants. But the trouble really starts when they find out the island isn't so deserted. How is he going to protect her from the danger, especially if it follows them home?

Stranded Temptation is another fine story from Ms Taiden. The characters are strong & likeable with a good supporting cast. The story line is a good one that had me guessing a little bit in a who done it kinda way. A couple of twists kept it interesting & kept me turning the pages. All in all this is a good story for a quiet evening's read.

I am not a lover of the whole "billionaire" trope but when it's written by Milly Taiden, well I had to give it a try! I was not disappointed. Th same heat as her PNR titles, with action/adventure and some very Alpha moments from Max!

Kara is a workaholic. Not through choice- she just doesn't get much say in the matter when her boss Max works just as hard. However she finally has a holiday with her bestie to celebrate a milestone birthday. But Max sticks a spanner in the works and now she has to go to South America with him. She is not a happy bunny...and extended time with Max will send her poor, neglected libido into overdrive, along with her dreams of his sexy self!

Max knows he is being a total putz by making Kara work on her birthday but he can't stand the thought of her getting down and dirty with another guy, not when he wants her all to himself. But when their plane goes down on a tropical island, far from their intended, planned route, Max Is happy to be stranded with the star of his dreams. Even better...her dad prepared his girl for any situation. No wimpy weepy woman to deal with!

Between drug cartels, shady financial business dealings & several attempted assassination plots, Kara and Max relationship has a baptism of fire. If they can survive all this they can survive anything!

I luuuurved this story so much! Brian is a real nut and I hope he gets his own story soon!

Hmm. It seems like if it's not a paranormal story, the hero and the heroine can't seem to get a break for a looooong time. Like their troubles are just starting with the first hiccup (i.e. the first attempt to take one of their lives). And it goes on for 3 -5 more times. Is there a chapter or word count requirement? Maybe I'm just used to the shorter paranormal stories of Ms. Taiden.

That being said...this is still a nice story. The chemistry between Max and Kara was really intense! And the story moved at a fast pace...I guess that's why I expected it to be over sooner. And it was great that Kara was better trained than Max re survival. It didn't take away at all from Max's alpha-ness. Too bad she only showed it once. Still...Kara is tough. And it's through these attempts on Kara that they realize they need each other.

I received a copy of the book for my honest opinion.

Kara loves her job.
She works hard.
She works a lot.
Like a whole lot.
Work seems to be the only thing Kara has time for.
Thanks to her workaholic boss, Max.
A love life is pretty impossible because Max is always dishing out a new assignment or deadline on Kara at the most inconvenient of times.
Kara had planned a cruise with her bestie for her birthday but Mac quickly dashes those plans with an impromptu business trip.
Kara is extremely disappointed and frustrated.
But there's a method to the madness that is Max.
He's seriously crushing on Kara but doesn'tt wanna risk their business relationship by pursuing her.
When the business trip meets some unexpected delays and snags, both Max and Kara give in to their hidden desires that have been left unsaid.

Kara loves her job, but lately, not her boss....Max doesn't want to work without her, or lose her to any other man. So, he keeps her busy at work- not only after hours, but when she's scheduled vacations as well. So when she finally got a cruise vacation scheduled, as well as the time off, and he nixed her plans yet again, she is ready to give her notice. But the kicker is- she's enamored with her boss. As he is with her, but for the sake of their jobs, neither one will give in to those feelings But when they crash land on a remote island, during a business trip, all bets are off. Once Kara finds that she survived, she goes for it. Will the romance of the island burn out or survive if they make it home, or will it fizzle and ........ Another fabulous and fun romance by Milly Taiden!

Tropical bliss

I love this story of Kara and Max. I think their love was brewing and simmering for so long that is didn't take a rocket scientist to see the chemistry. This book was just as captivating as Mr. Buff. Just like her cousin Kara got her fantasy and ideal man. Max knew he could allow Kara to go on her cruise because he wanted her to himself. So he made her go to South America with him and being stranded on a island, surviving a plane crash, drug cartel and being almost eaten by a shark was all in a day's worth. Then to come to being the victim so some craze plot to cover someone's track for embezzling from the company. Max having to do an evaluation of his mental was just a ploy. Too much to tell you would do good to get the book and enjoy for yourself.

Stranded Tempation by Milly Tiaden
Max is the CEO and Kara works in his company as a analysis. I like that Kara isn’t just his receptionist and he’s the big bad CEO.
Max really likes Kara but can’t seem to figure out a way to date her without other staff becoming jealous or unprofessional towards Kara. Kara thinks Max over works her and after he plans a business trip on her 30th birthday cruise she decides she need more of a life and will quit to get that balance.
I really enjoyed this waist in this book especially the deserted island bit. Love Kara has survival skills and isn’t the damsel in distressed type.
Really enjoyed this book and would love to know what happens with Megan and Brian

Great story about the too hot to handle alpha couple of Kara and Max as they work together to tackle an infamous drug cartel and three conspiring board members to stay safe and to run the company as it deserved to be run in the 21st century. Can the type A workaholic Max stop long enough to enjoy his mate and give her the break she needs from their 24/7 work schedule? Will they solve the mystery of who’s trying to kill her and have him declared incompetent? Read on if you want those questions answered, and be prepared for some really steamy, passionate love scenes along the way. No one writes them like Milly.

What a fun read. Milly gives you so much action and adventure and love and hot sex! Kara works for Max. He makes her work a lot because he is secretly in love with her and he doesn't want her to have any free time to "find someone else". He ruins her upcoming vacation by making her come to a meeting with him. While on that plane ride to the meeting the plane goes down and the adventure begins! I love that she finally gives in to her attraction to Max. I love the dialogue and the story line and everything in between.

If fated mates applied to contemporary romance novels, that's what youxd have here. This is the 2nd contemporary by Miss Taiden that I've read and while I prefer her PNR, I enjoyed this one too. There's a feisty heroine, an Alpha male, lot's of action & danger thrown in.

Sex, Suspense and Fun!

Of course this story was sexy and full of action, suspense and drama. Would a book written by Milly be anything else? With likeable main characters and villains you love to hate, you can't go wrong. The scene with Max's mother was so funny! Let your imagination to wild and grab your copy today. Happy reading.
