Jutustuse tegevus hargneb okupeeritud Eestis ühes väikelinnas, peategelasteks on kaks koolipoissi. Minategelasel, kes on selle jutustuse pajataja, laseb autor öelda: «Me olime kaks noorukit, peaaegu veel poisikesed. Meil polnud ühtki sõjariista ehk relva. Aga me lugesime end sõjas olevaks Suur-Saksa riigiga. Minu arvates on see sümboolne.»

About the author

He was an Estonian children's book author. He graduated from university with a course in Estonian language study in 1952. From 1952 to 1956 he worked in the Estonian National Library. From 1956 to 1965 he worked in the Estonian national publishing association. After that he retired and devoted himself to writing. His works include "Three funny friends", "The story with the flying saucer", "Fire in a darkened city", "Nii või naa" (This or that way) and others.

Nói chung là hay. Những đứa trẻ "tuổi nhỏ tài cao", chẳng may sống trong thời kỳ mà người này căm thù người kia, người kia nghi ngờ người nọ, người nọ buộc tội người này, và những người bạn tốt không thể bộc bạch với nhau tất cả.
