Well in 70 pages this book really ticked me off.
8 years ago... Rachel gave her virginity to her brother's best friend, David. It was a mutual thing and she thought they were in love, but then the very next day he didn't reply to her texts or calls and ignored her when she saw him again. So what's a girl to think and how will she respond?
Well she could;
A) kick him in the cojones
B) rant at him in public
C) pretend it didn't matter to her either.
She goes with option C. After all she has her pride to keep her warm.
This all makes sense to me so far and it's glaringly obvious who is truly responsible when you read the story.
And I was OK with the predictable formula until it started in with the 'blame the victim' crap.

That was a really sweet story. I was surprised by how much I liked it. It was a short story but it had everything in it that I needed, lost love, family drama, winter storm, some really hot steam and rekindle romance. A great winter romance!

3 Sterne (= positive und negative Aspekte im Gleichgewicht)
Unterhaltsame Novelle über David und Rachel, die nach jugendlichem Herzschmerz Jahre später eine zweite Chance miteinander verdient haben. Schön atmosphärischer Schneesturm, tolle Chemie, bisschen schneller Wechsel von "uargh, du Ar*** hast mir damals das Herz gebrochen" hin zu "ooooh, knutsch mich weiter" 😂

I enjoyed this fast read based on the premise of a couple stuck in a snow, or in this case, an ice storm. While it’s just for one night, Rachel and David have a past together and that’s all it takes to stir things up. There is just enough anger and tension to drive the emotions of this short read until they both yield to the heat that’s between them.
While this is a very fast read, it felt pretty well developed as far as Rachel and David’s past, their present and their expectations. David’s protectiveness was swoon worthy which is something I’m never going to complain about. Give me an alpha hero every time and I’m a very happy reader.

David took her virginity and never talked to her again. A total bastard. Or that's what Rachel has always believed. 8 years later, Rachel has come home to visit her mother and brother Brad for Christmas. Her mother and Brad are stranded in the city due to a severe ice storm. Rachel is left by herself in the drafty old house....but.. David just happens to be stopping by to pick up a circular saw.
Although just a novella, this was far too predictable for my taste. I had the ending figured out from the beginning which cast a shadow on the story for me. A good fluff piece if your looking for some distraction for an hour, but not one of my favourites from this author.

Second chance romance. They were torn apart as teenagers and she had no idea that he hadn’t just dumped her. It’s 8 years later. She refuses to let him see the he hurt her so she in turn hurts him.

One Night in the Ice Storm was my first Noelle Adams reading experience, and it was a highly enjoyable practice that I look forward to repeating. The plot was an easy to follow, emotive, and heart squeezing second chance romance, and the storyline was sweet and steamy. Rachel's heart had been broken at the age of seventeen when her childhood infatuation became her first love and then her first heartache when he unexpectedly dumped her after a summer of love which had also involved losing her v-card. Eight years later they find themselves uncomfortably alone in a storm, without electricity... hmmm, whatever will they find to do in the cold dark night? I was well entertained throughout.

At first when I read this I was irritated. You have a girl who lost her virginity to her brothers best friend and my first reaction was what a jackass. He first broke the trust of his best friend by sleeping with his sister and second was so blaise about taking her virtue.
But....
David is a nice guy and he has always thought of Rachael. So will they find love in the ice storm, or will the find regret?

I went into this expecting a sweet little second chance romance, with maybe a touch of angst because of how things ended between Rachel and David when they were teens. What I didn't expect was the tears and for my chest to hurt so much from the pain they were both suffering! What a terrific novella this is- all the feels and emotions packed into a short story that can be read in less than two hours. I love when an author is able to convey such emotions and can really draw you into a story, and have you completely invested in it, in such a short amount of time and words.

From the moment I pick up this novella I was hooked. I fell in love with Rachel and David and their story. This is a second chance for them. They were both so in love as teenagers. Something happens and Rachel cannot figure out what it is. David just ghosts her and pretends she doesn't exist. Rachel learns to live with a broken heart never forgetting her love for David and just always trying to out run it. Now they are stranded together for one night in the same house alone. Will they be able to keep their distance or will they fall into each others arms? Pick up this book and find out how their story ends because you will not be disappointed.

i love it when the guy is so in love with the girl and she is so oblivious of his emotions.. and then something happens and everything is revealed..
David was amazing, he had those feelings for rachel that were very obvious.. he is protective, good-hearted and so very caring for her .. i mean my heart just stopped beating.. it was so epic i loved them together..

This is the second novella in the One Night Novellas series. Take away the cheesy title and I think I liked it better than the first. Let me state that each novella is a stand alone so you can pick them up in any order and enjoy.
This story is extremely predictable but for some reason I really liked it. I think that maybe it was the characters that did it for me. I really, really, really liked David with his take charge attitude and his softer, caring side. He's exactly the type of person I would want to be stuck with if I were in that situation. Thank goodness I have a husband that fits that bill!
As with all novellas, you can easily finish this story in one short sitting just like I did. If you are running short on time and are looking for a quick second chance romance, this novella will do the job. I thought it was a cute and entertaining story. I think I will continue on with the rest of the series to see if they are just as much fun.

Sometimes I just want to read something quick, a short story which does not require too much thinking. And this one, it was:
I absolutely loved it. It was exactly what I looked for. Just a short romance story with cute, loveable characters, in a bit difficult situation.
I adored David. I love protective men, and David well yeah, bossy, overbearing, but:
- Why can’t I be self-sufficient too? - Her voice got strangely hoarse on the last words, and it wasn’t because she wanted to cry.
- Because I’m here - he murmured. - Because I’m here , and I want to help you.

This is heart-warming story. and very sweet .
There was snow storm in the town, and everywhere was covered by the ice.
Rachael,who came home to celebrate christmas holiday with her family
found herself struck in her home with her ex-boyfriend David alone.
While her family,mother and brother, struck in supermarket somewhere.
Had been hurt from their break-up, Rachael decided to keep distance from him.
but how could she, since her heart still yearning for him.
when I know how hurt Rachael be from their break-up.
I couldn't help but want to slap him.

Semana de romance contemporáneo
Sí bueno hice un poquito de trampa eligiendo una novela corta para participar en este maratón romántico, pero es que no me daba chance de terminarme un libro en toda su forma (todo sea por el amor a la lectura u know)
Como siempre un libro de Noelle Adams, por corto o largo que sea no decepciona. Esta fue su segunda novela publicada y a pesar que ocurre en 5-6 capítulos y en una noche transmite muy bien el mensaje, es un romance que ha estado cocinando por ocho largos años y que en una noche llega a derretir la tormenta de hielo que atraviesan ambos personajes.
Totalmente recomendado como siempre ;)

Ugh 8 year separation without so much as 1 conversation. He dumped her because her grandfather threatened him and his mom and her brother knew it and refused to say anything. She had plenty of sexual partners in that time, unsure about him but I assume he did also since he apparently is too stupid to realize she might be upset about him dumping her and that might be why she won't speak to him and acts like he doesn't exist. He was a teenager sure but what about when they were both adults? No these 2 stupid ass, stubborn people wasted all those years. ...ugh.

This was a sweet romantic novella. I liked the characters (although Rachel was ridiculously stubborn except when she needed to be). My only criticism is that I wish they had their conversation BEFORE they hopped in the sack.

Loved this short story. The perfect quick read between emotionally draining books. The heroine was very easy to identify with and the pace of he book was perfect. Loved it~!
