The Shifter Brotherhood #2

Dragon's Redemption

Rate this book
Kidnapped by the monster that haunts our village, I find myself tasked to nurse my captor back to health. I should hate him, but the more I touch my dragon captor, the more I want him to touch me.

Eldrin was just a simple shop boy until he came home one night to find the Beast of Bourveil Thicket threatening his master. In a courageous attempt to save his master, Eldrin offers himself up as payment, promising to help the Beast with his festering wounds. However, it quickly becomes clear that there's chemistry between them.

Zoth is trapped in his dragon form, his parents dead long before they could teach him to control the beast within. After a scuffle with the local guards, he's left wounded and in need of help. Thanks to his reputation, his only choice is threats. However, when a young beautiful druid appears, offering his aid, Zoth can't help but steal him away, hoping something will come of it.

Will this odd pair overcome their differences or will the world tear them apart?

WARNING: This spicy shifter fantasy romance contains jaw-dropping twists, kidnapping, forced proximity, size difference, enemies to lovers, sizzling love scenes, special peen, a vivid fantasy world, and a happily ever after that will leave you speechless. It should only be read by those who like their dragons grumpy and their druids sassy!

Good book

I liked the pacing of this book a lot better than the first. It's sort of a beauty and the beast retelling which was an interesting element I think. I'm glad we got a little catch up with Dante and Ronan and hope the author plans to continue this series as I feel that the Temple and noble storyline isn't complete. I really enjoyed Zoth and Eldrin and thought they were interesting characters. I found it humorous that they both had the quirk of talking to themselves because I thought the characters in the first book spent too much time in their own heads. Whether that was the author making them literally talk out loud and not in their minds was based on reviews or coincidence, it's funny to me. There were a few typos and then I believe a name mistake, or again a coincidence, but it's sort of a spoiler so don't want to say. I will definitely read another book from this series.

This had a lot of potential, but the characters went from fighting and hating each other to kissing and having sex very fast. Their characterizations changed pretty quick too. I DNF at 50%. I was also annoyed at the random modern language mixed with more traditional. Felt like the author wasn't sure if this was a period piece or fantasy.

And... The story started with a sex scene with a random courtesan. Huge turn off. Felt a bit pointless.

Did someone say a dragon!?

Book 2 had me captured so fast, just like book 1. Book 2 features a DRAGON shifter which is just one of my favorite things in the world.

I continue to love this high fantasy world and I loved Zoth and his grumpy dragon butt. Eldrin was also so sassy to Zoth that it had me laughing so very hard.

If you love fantasy, shifters (especially dragons!), banter, plot twists and spice so hot you don’t know what to do.. this is for you!

It was good. I love it.

Like first book it was really good. Im glad to see our beloved couple from first book in this book. The spicy scenes were well-placed and enjoyable. I had fun reading it. I liked the overthrow of the corrupt nobles; I wish we could have seen them suffer more. But the story was good. The fact that two different characters had the same name confused me a little. Other than that, it's impossible not to connect with the characters. 7/10.

Good Follow up

I'm enjoying this series quite a bit. The plot and characters are very interesting. Not gonna lie, the beginning of the book strikes me as a revamp of Beauty and the Beast, but by the middle, that changes and is completely different.

?

I very much enjoyed both books in this series, but I hope there's more to come since the story isn't finished. If not I will end up very disappointed wondering what happened.
