The history was not bad but I don't like the secondary personages in primis the father who were a very despicable man, from the beginning but with the revelations at the end of the book he become horrible, The H is a man trapped in a bad marriage, the h is a young woman grown alone without a female guide.

Not my favorite type of historical romance. Just felt a little all over the show and I felt zero chemistry between the main characters

I disliked this story, it has a lot of ugly moments. It is quite well-written though.
