9/14/24 TBH I don't think the relationship was ever properly devloped. Man - both were clearly using each other, and knew it, and were like "DON'T CATCH FEELINGS" but both OBVIOUSLY caught feelings even if they weren't willing to admit it. [ML ... moreso than FL, but also ML was WAY MORE CRUEL than FL.]

I thought it was pretty obvious - like from the first time one of the concubines asks FL "did you break the rules? Did you allow any light in during your night with him?" I knew it that ML wasn't the guy having sex with all the concubines. And I was right.
That doesn't excuse the time(s) he rapes her though.
Also why does he also get to feel aggrieved but she doesn't.

One big thing that annoyed the shit out of me - and I note it - is these super smart characters all of a sudden become INCREDIBLY STUPID. So annoying on the part of the author - like she just wanted to splash dog blood everywhere and make it angsty so she ignored all the intelligence and so on. Ugh.
And GODDAMN WHY CAN THESE FUCKING PEOPLE NOT FUCKING TALK TO EACH OTHER OMFG. OIEGAH;EORGSN;RGJKNSBEGK
I also didn't feel that ML sufficiently made up for his shit.
Also disliked the ending what with all the loose ends, like sure dude ~reconciles with his shit ass family who moves to the foot of their mountain ....
BUT WHAT ABOUT FL AND HER SHIFU? AND FL AND ML'S BABY GIRL? Like AYFKM? The Shen family was somehow more important? It also didn't make sense how her brother died in like a few months not the five years.
I did cry buckets but I was so annoyed.
Grr.

I dunno. C-- => not mad I read it, will watch the drama, really hope MZY brings her A game... LXY should be able to kill it ... and don't see myself re-reading this drama.
