Since Sigmund Freud's death in 1939, the theories he and other psychoanalytic pioneers put forward have been attacked from all sides. This collection of papers on death, drive theory, female development, gender narcissism and other theoretical and clinical matters, attempts to point the way back to a more centrist view.
