Sexy Paranormal Romance

Lucinda “Lu” Rawson is firefighter on the run from her old life in Springfield. She starts fresh in Seattle at a new firehall. A fire at a “grow” house brings her into contact with fireman turned cop and arson investigator Byron Morgan, and the fire between them is smoking hot.

Even so, Lu clings to her secret, hiding the fact that she can telepathically start fires, a trait that gets out of hand when she’s upset.

A re-assignment pairs her with Byron and passion flairs. Byron and Lu must solve the drug-house arsons or they’ll go up in smoke.

Snowden writes in a fast-paced style with authentic details from the world of firefighting. I rooted for her gutsy heroine throughout the book.

This was good. The mystery was interesting even though it had some slow points. The main heroine was great. Spunky and trying to control her gift and be a firefighter at the same time but sometimes things get out of control. The writer takes an interesting spin on her story. The heroine also has two love interests, who are very different. I really enjoyed it and will look for this author again.

Short read. Lots going on. I think this book could of been longer and/or a series. Seems like the author was throwing all this information today to get a book. (The relationship with the 2 men, her fire starting abilities, and then whole friend like drama). Lots of graphic sex as well.

I'm sure a lot of readers will enjoy this book. The author is a good writer, and I will read more of her work. I think it was just some of the characters and their choices that made this a miss for me.

A light romp

This is a feel good book. Some mystery, some romance. A light diverting read. There could be sequels. Hope so. Would love to know more about the family history.

Not only is Lucinda (Lu) hiding a secret of her own but she's also torn between two men - fire department chief Josh Reynolds and arson inspector Byron Morgan. Both men are attractive and Lu has in the beginning a difficult time figuring out who and what she wants.Who will she choose- handsome but edgy Josh or charismatic and attentive Byron ? To make her life a little more complicated Lu accidently causes few more fires and things start to turn against her, so Lu's secret is about to be exposed. Will she able to keep her secret safe or will Reynolds and Morgan discover what Lu is hiding all this time. As if this wasn't enough, Lu get's blackmailed by her best friends daughter, Kaitlynn.

I liked the story and it was interesting to read for who Lu will decide and if her secret gets exposed. I'm a big fan of paranormal stories and that's why I agreed to review Nora's book. I wished the story would have gotten deeper into Lu's ability and given more background knowledge about the How come of her ability and just in general more details. I wasn't as hooked as I hoped I would be. Overall it was a good story and I haven't yet read anything similiar to it. However the story needs more details because during reading many question came to my mind and I came to the conclusion the story needed a bit more development to hook me. For me it seemed more like a romance/criminal read than paranormal. I prefer when genres are balanced in a story, it makes it more interesting.

It is a good read and I would recommend it as a light read anytime. You will like the steamy scenes for sure -I did- and the story has a twist at the end which I found very surprsing (didn't see that coming!!). You'll find yourself, while reading, playing detective cause you too want to help handsome Morgan to solve his case.

If you like a sizzling romance stirred with mystery, modern drug problems, hot firemen and cops – oh, plus an unusual paranormal ability, then this book is absolutely for you!
Normally when I read a book, I read through the first chapter then head for the ending to see how it ends – happily ever after, of course. At that point I settle down with my chocolate and wine, go back to the beginning and read it all the way through.
But in this book, I kept on reading, page after page, chapter after chapter. Giggling at some of the banter, getting to know a wonderful group of characters, intrigued at the details of life as a firewoman, steaming at the very sizzling sex scenes, worried over who could possibly be the bad guy, and oh dear, was the guy I thought was the hero – not? Lu, our heroine, and the two men Byron and Reynolds, led me around in circles as I tried to figure out what was happening next, flipping through another page, another chapter.
What a satisfying book to read – I loved it and enjoyed it all the way through. When the book was finished and slowly closed with a happy sigh, I was shocked to find there was still some chocolate and wine left! A good book indeed. I enjoyed it so much, I’m going to read it again!

Nora Snowdon hooked me with the first page - Lu Dawson is a spunky, hard-nosed firefighter. She's tough, smart, and not afraid to stand up to just about anything.

She transfers into a new firehouse in a new city. Sparks start to fly...in more ways than one. After a particularly difficult fire, her boss takes on a new personal interest. And a local cop needs her help to investigate what happened.

As she works to help investigate the fire, she becomes more and more involved. With Bryon, the cop, and the investigation. Unfortunately, she has to hide a unique talent she has (this is interesting) in order to sway the investigation away from her.

The relationship between Byron and Lu has sparks and fun -- loved it.

There are more than a few twists in this book. It will keep you interested and reading through the night.

Feeling a sudden white-hot jabbing pain at the back of your skull? Watch out, you may be a fire starter like Lu Dawson, who just happens to be a firefighter. Nora Snowdon’s paranormal romance, Arsonists Anonymous, is full of such clever contradictions, from the intriguing mystery of deadly fires that start upon Lu’s arrival in Seattle, to the rivalry between the Fire Captain and Arson Inspector fighting over the gorgeous redhead. Snowdon’s ability to balance humor and wit with tension and suspense makes for a crackling read, with temperatures rising even higher with some very hot scenes in the bedroom. Get ready to laugh and have some ice water on hand, because you’re bound to feel the heat from this one.

Firehouse Captain Josh Reynolds and Arson Inspector Byron Morgan approach fires from different angles, leading these two men to often go toe to toe and become rivals.

Lucinda Dawson, a fire-woman with a secret finds herself equally attracted to both men. But when her growing attraction for Byron puts herself right in the middle of their rivalry she can't be sure she isn't just a pawn in their game of one up-manship.

Author Nora Snowdon has the reader feeling like they are right along side the fireman as they battle fires and save lives. Add in arson, murder and a rebellious teenager and you have a great read.

If Arsonists Anonymous' title didn't grab you, then its characters and plot will. This book is full of compelling characters who pull the story forward to create a page-turner I could not put down. Reading doesn't get much more fun than this.
