Mates Emergence series #2

Raven's Oracle- Silver Creek Pack: Mates Emergence Book 2

Rate this book
Sawyer;

I was a simple man.
I protected the town in more ways than one.
I didn't need much.
Just my pack and my job in law enforcement.
But then I met her in a brutal collision that more than knocked me on my ass.
Tenyesie Keller.
One smell and I knew she was mine.
But she was different. She smelled different.
Like the Alpha's mate.
She must have had a secret too.
And I wouldn't rest until I found out what made my kitty so damn special, because my mate definitely had claws.

Tenyesie;

I'd tried to keep myself off the radar.
Unnoticed, so I could just get through life unscathed.
Then he came and thundered into my life.
Sawyer Harden.
He wouldn't leave me alone.
Like a man with an obsession, I felt hunted.
I felt him at every turn.
He knew I was different and he wouldn't stop until he found out why.
He left me desperate with the urge in my core that screamed at me to burrow deep into his hold.
Then an occurrence pushed me closer to the one man I tried to run from and I finally realized, there was no escape.

I really enjoy the books when both characters are strong, bad a$$ personalities. We most definitely get that and then some with Sawyer and Tenyesie. Sawyer, part of the Silver Creek pack, shifter and just general tough, strong and imposing, and Tenyesie, just trying to stay under the radar, hiding secrets, trying to help when she can, literally crash into each other in a bid to save a child they both see is in danger. The immediate connection hits them, Sawyer understanding it for what it is, and Tenyesie not having any idea, as a human, they are mates. And as she bolts, unnerved by his reaction to her, he is determined to find her and win her over.

The relationship between Sawyer and Tenyesie is quite interesting. She has no idea about the existence of shifters. Her own secrets hint at otherworldly, magic like ideas, but being like shifters isn’t even on her radar. So Sawyer has this constant struggle of when to open up with her and share that part of himself, even as they get closer and closer to sealing their bond. And Tenyesie has never let anyone get close to her, but with Sawyer, she is drawn to him and seems to inherently trusts him - plus, he is the only person who can see the physical manifestation of her secrets, and he’s not scared away by it. So as they go back and forth trying to figure out trust and lust, they slowly grow closer and closer.

Meanwhile, the ongoing mystery from book one continues, and Tenyesie may have a key to help uncovering more details and getting to the bottom of everything. That brings a whole other level of things into the relationship between Sawyer and Tenyesie, because he just wants to protect her, and she wants to help in a dangerous situation. He has to fight his instincts to stand back and watch as she does what she can, and it definitely challenges him like nothing before. The pack dynamic and all the relationships and personalities that are woven throughout this community are very intriguing and definitely make for some fun and often violent interactions.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, with the blend of the dark romance and the mystery they are working through, there is plenty to keep things engrossing. On top of the violence and darkness are actually some very sweet moments, and that just adds to the overall appeal.

If I was asked to describe this book in one word, I would tell you: “That is not possible”. The story was phenomenal, the descriptions throughout the book were amazing, and overall, it is just magical and otherworldly.

I have read quite a lot of Emmaleigh’s books so far and every time after finishing one I think: “This is the best book ever by her. No chance she will surpass this.” And then her next book is released. Series like Kings Wolves MC or Silver Creek Pack Mates Emergence, which are my favorites by her, left me thinking: “Damn, she did it again. This book is even better than the last one.”

All Emmaleigh’s books are intricately woven nets of explicitly described pictures that captivate her readers, and make them forget all about their, at times stressful life happening around them. Raven’s Oracle is no exception and follows this pattern. Throughout the story, you get the feeling of being right there experiencing it all from the sideline.

From Sawyer’s claiming of Tenyesie in the beginning of the story, to her meeting the rest of the pack and trusting them with her secret, their struggles to find where Athena is kept to Sawyer telling Tenyesie that he is a shifter. I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough, because I had to know what happened next, and then I reached the last page and was like: “What? Nooooo.....” Because yes, there is some kind of disguised cliffhanger, or teaser, to make you wait on the edge of your seat for the next book to be released.

Have you never read one of Emmaleigh’s books, then do yourself a favor and dive into this series, even though you must wait for the last books. Join me while I patiently wait for her to reveal the twists and turns of the story and evolution of the characters I have come to love.

I have chosen not to reveal too much of the plotline in the story, since I think you should have the enjoyment of experiencing the book for the first time without any spoilers. Hope you can forgive me afterwards.

Sawyer meets Tenyesie and knows instantly that she is his mate. She is his and not even she can deny it. But there's something different about her that he just can't place and he plans to find out what secrets his newly found mate is hiding.

This author is easily one of my favorites, because she knows how to write romance. The plot was interesting and actually took a basic shifter romance and changed it up a bit to make it unique. Sawyer and Tenyesie have a pretty fast romance, but you still get to see them fall for each other, which I loved.

A little side note, I'm really not crazy for the name Tenyesie. I'm sure it's supposed to be pronounced like Tennessee, but I couldn't make my brain match that pronunciation as I was reading it.

I really love this series. I loved the relationship development between Sawyer and Tenyesie even after their meeting and instant bond. I wasn’t a fan of her name but that was easy to overlook. Even though this story was focused on their relationship I loved the series arc too, which picked up where book 1 left off.

I loved the dual POV. I love how T’s story intertwined with the pack and how everything is connected. There were some things that I connected pretty easily and some were a surprise I wasn’t expecting. I’m really interested to see where the series goes next. I have questions about some of these characters that I hope is answered in the next book! (I don’t want to spoil and it’s so hard).

**This cannot be read as a stand-alone.**

Book 2 sheds some light on questions that came up from book 1 but also created more questions! But isn’t that what good authors do?

Tenyesie and Sawyer come from very different backgrounds but when they meet it’s like they’ve known each other forever. Both have secrets, and a lot to learn about each other.

Missing shifters going back decades, but not all of them are missed in the way you would expect. What exactly are the scientists trying to prove? Lots to find out in book 3.

I loved the first book in this series and Ravens Oracle did not disapoint as the second one. I could not put it down and wanted more when I finished it. This book follows Tenyesie and Sawyer as they find out they are fated mates but both have hidden secrets. This book sends you on a rollercoaster of emotions and I already cannot wait for the next one to find out what happens to the future of the pack and the surrounding packs now involved.

If you've read any of Ms.Emmaleigh's books you already know your in for one helluva ride. There's NO ! lack of action in this 2nd book and the deeper I get into Tenyesie and Sawyer's story the more I crave and they both have a secret they're not ready to share. I totally got sucked into their story and in my mind's eye I could visualize every scene how you ask? it's because this author is wonderful with her descriptions of what's happening at the time.

Great continuation

Excellent follow up from the first book. We follow Sawyer from the silver creek pack and his mate who is an Oracle. They bump into each other and as she attempts to navigate all of the weird goings on and her premonitions he is trying to tell her the most important thing about himself he's a wolf.
Throw in an old evil group using people as experiments to throw away and you have the great start of an Unfinished series

4 Wows, no 5 Wows. The most intriguing scary world ever imagined.

I stayed awake with little sleep to read this story, shocked at the ideas Emmaleigh Wynters could create. Could not put the book down. Every emotion was amplified in me while reading. Blood, lust, hate, love and shock. The cruelty was unimaginable. Can’t wait to read more. Thank you Emmaleigh !!!!!!

The language was truly insufferable on this one. The scenes with the FMC, her mother and best friend were supposed to have a fun? Carefree? Baddie vibe but it was so over the top and cringey.
