Rate this book
In Surrounded by Geniuses, Dr. Alan Gregerman presents a revolutionary guide to personal, professional, and organizational success based on two powerfully simple ideas. First, that there is genius hidden in all of us. And second, that we are surrounded by a world filled with genius that can be used to transform any company or organization in order to deliver compelling customer value. He then shows us in clear and practical ways how to unlock the genius in ourselves and our organizations by discovering and applying insight from the worlds of business, history, popular culture, nature, science, and even science fiction. Dr. Gregerman provides a simple, actionable formula for drawing the genius out of any team and every employee and demonstrates how these principles work with true stories of the program in action. "No one needs a 'me-too' anything-great companies learn to transform customers into fans. Surrounded by Geniuses can help you begin your quest for the next great idea. It is an important and enjoyable read."-Vernon H. Hill, Founder, Chairman and CEO, Commerce Bank "Innovation in business is critical and complex. In Surrounded by Geniuses, Alan gives us big ideas, clear examples and the perspective to improve business performance."-Mike Jannini, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Global Brand Strategy and Innovation, Marriott International

Summary: You need to think different in business now.

Gee, really? No kidding. The world changes and business needs to change too. The author asks the right questions, but too often the answers are business as usual. How can we increase sales? Be more personably.

I would pick up this book and skim the chapter titles, nothing more.
