I couldn't find anything to like in this book. The characters were flat. The periodic tips in the middle of the text added nothing. And oh my god, I just wanted to smack Chloe and all her stupid indecipherable sayings. Life is too short. Done.
Enough already with what everyone is wearing! Also, why is she so dead set on referring to cars by their model name? Finally, her editor should sit down with her and help get the super-chatty tone a little more under control.
Overall, it's a fairly weak cozy mystery. The culprit was obvious from the beginning, and the characters are pretty flat, but it read quickly, so it wasn't a huge loss of time.
I found the narrative a bit too choppy and while cleaning tips are nice, they shouldn't overshadow everything else in the book. There was really no mystery, either, since the bad guy was pretty obvious.
Definitely enjoying this series. I like the characters a lot and while the mysteries are interesting, the story line covers much more. Looking forward to more in this series.
