About the author

Trent C. Butler holds his Doctorate from Vanderbilt University's Divinity School and is a noted scholar in Old Testament Studies. He wrote for the Points for Emphasis series for several years. He is most known for his work on the Holman Bible Dictionary, which is Holman's most successful publication. Trent was instrumental in the Holman Christian Standard Version Bible Translation as well as the "Disciples Study Bible." He has two sons, Curtis and Kevin and a beautiful granddaughter, Brynn.
