A very equisite and early book from the painter Elizabeth Peyton. I am a fan of her work, because I am interested in the same things that she's interested in - basically a dandyfied world.
A big chunck of the portraits are of the Brit-pop scene of the mid-90's - but she gives them all a certian doomed dandy look, that I think is not really them, but her projection of them. And it's the projection that is more real to me than the actual real figures. I would also recommend the Rizzoli book which is sort of her greatest hits package.
