I never knew so much information and study could go into selling on eBay. This is actually my first “for Dummies” book and I don’t know why I avoided these kinds of books. I learned more than I could have ever expected. My favorite chapter was the one on drop shipping and sourcing. Actually read it twice. Now to see if what I learned can be used to strategically sell on eBay.

This is also my first book I rented from the Wake Forest Library as an adult.

This book was instrumental in opening my eBay store. Marsha Collier does an excellent job creating a discussing the various levers that can effect the success of your eBay store. However, she does not get into the details that can really take your eBay store to the next level. For example, she will talk about title best practices for a few paragraphs but won't really talk about eBay specific copy best practices to optimize CTR.

I thought it was very well organized so that you could dip into the chapter section addressing the issue you have a question about and find just what you're looking for. There's lots of facts, but also an occasionally humorous tone and real life examples so you don't feel like you're reading an accounting textbook.

If you've been an ebay seller for a while you will not get much from this book. If you are totally new to ebay check it out.

Even though I don't intend to have an eBay business (casual selling is enough for me), I found this book more useful than eBay for Dummies.
