Vladimir Vasilievich Arkhangelsky (1906-1976) - Soviet writer.
He was born into the family of a Kaluga priest, but, hiding his origin, indicated the place of birth of Penza. He received his higher legal education in Leningrad. He began to publish in 1926 Prose writer, member of the joint venture Author of the books: "A Drop of Rain" (1950), "Once in the Summer" (1952), "The Journey of a Drop of Water" (1953, 1954, 1958, 1966), "How I Traveled in Altai" (1958), "Amanita and Rook" (1965), "Youth of the new century" (1963), "And tomorrow there will be a fight" (1968), etc. In the series ZhZL his books were published - "Nogin" (1964, 1966), "Frunze" (1970), "Peter Currant "(1974). Permanent author (and member of the editorial board) of the almanac "Rybolov-athlete", member of the editorial board of the almanac "Hunting Spaces" (1950-1962), editor of its first issue, as well as the series "Library of the Beginning Hunter", compiler and author of one of the sections of the 2-volume "Handbook of a hunter-athlete" (M., FiS, 1955-56).
