During our first trip to Lexington in 2014 we were able to see most of these painted ponies in their natural environment. Being lifelong "horse girls" we were thrilled and enchanted by this lovely public art installation. Some of these horses are still on display at various locations around the city.
Since we are currently planning our Lexington vacation it was time to take the book off the shelf and read it again.
