For many years Mary Alice Jones has been one of the most respected authors of Christian books for younger readers. An observant student in the realm of child psychology, she has used her thoughtful observations as a base on which to build in answering the questions of young readers through her books, based on the child's own interests and experiences. Mary Alice Jones has been the primary force behind the Checkerboard Press Junior Elf Book series, acting as chief writer and consultant to the series.
Why do I love this book? Because I own a copy, a very old copy, that was given to my as a child, by my Great Grandmother who passed away when I was only 5 years old. Inside the cover is says: "Sheila from G.G. Horne"
How can I not love this? This book will have a special spot on my bookshelf forever.
I learned that His Law is spiritual and the 10 commandments are really promising when we look at them in light of the New Covenant. God discerns not only our actions but our hearts. And He is writing His Law in our hearts as we live this life as members of Christ’s body.
