Gifting this to my nieces, and so I had to check it out for myself first. I was never one to enjoy math in school, probably because of how it was taught back then, but if it was presented this way—in story form—I would have represented my school to quiz bees and math competitions! There are simple and "higher" maths (fractions, compounded equations, etc.) in this one, which can be enjoyed by young and adult readers alike. The bonus is that . I really hope my nieces enjoy this even though it's recommended for nine and up and they're still five and below!
