The Historia Anglorum by Henry, Archdeacon of Huntingdon, who was born c. 1088 and died c. 1157, has not been published in its entirety before. This critical edition, with translation and historical annotation, is preceded by an introduction which traces his career and incorporates some new discoveries about his family origins and education.
Henry of Huntingdon (circa 1088 to circa 1158), was archdeacon of Huntingdon and a canon of Lincoln Cathedral. Wrote poetry, prose and a history of the English people down to the year 1154.
