A good book with some great videos included to help teach some of the tips and tricks to flying. It is a bit outdated, he is using a DJI phantom with a gorpo attached as his main camera. Today DJI creates a much more diverse array of drones, so I was hoping to gain some insight into the mini series and Air series they put out. Hopefully an updated version will come out soon.
I found this book to be very informative and I imagine it could be highly useful to photographers/videographers who are new to the drone world. My interest in drones is mapping, but I still learned a lot from this book. The author warns you early on that his examples will mostly be related to the DJI brand, and that coupled with how quickly this field is developing will severely limit the value of the how-to part of the book. With that said, there are plenty of tips and discussions that are general in nature and would be useful. I would consider this book best suited for people who are beginners. There are 70 pages of images taken by the author and a few other photographers and they are fantastic.
