Anne of Green Gables is one of the best classic novels I’ve read. The words are easy to digest, there are no overly wordy sentences, and the story is easy to follow.
It’s also descriptive—but not too much. You can imagine what each character looks like without it getting too wordy.
What I love most is how you see the characters grow and change—just like the seasons, the passing years, and the shifting landscapes. As a reader, you feel like you grow with them. You sympathize with their disappointments and rejoice in their triumphs.
It’s one of the few books I’ve rated 5 stars. Highly recommended. It’s an S-tier classic.
