Synopsis:

Truth or Consequences

Yuniko is willing to risk her life to learn the truth about her father Akira Nanae. Unfortunately, the tape with the truth-revealing conversations between Akira and her mother, Maiko, lands in the hands of Maki, a lower-than-low member of the paparazzi.

After Maki carelessly tosses the tape into the ocean, Yuniko takes desperate and dangerous measures to get it back. When Ryu comes to her rescue, Yuniko finally faces her feelings for him.

With reporters hounding them at every turn, and Maki always lurking in the shadows to expose any and all details of their personal lives, Yuniko and Ryu must find a way to learn the truth about their secret past without the whole world knowing about it first.

My Thoughts:

In this volume, Yuni and Ryu finally get the proof they need in order to prove that Akira really is Yuni's father. Not only that, but our couple really becomes a couple in this volume. =D

Once they do have the proof yet another thing comes up. When they go back to the hospital after receiving news from Maki that something is wrong with Maiko, they find her having a breakdown. And when she hears Yuni and Ryu's names, she seems to have a flash of memory recall. She remembers something that Yuni and Ryu really didn't expect out of her mouth. After listening to the tape, there was already some speculation, but to hear it from Maiko herself...

It doesn't help that Maki is lurking in the background, ready to get the scoop. The next day, it's all over the news that Ryu is Akira's son. The reporters go nuts! Just when Yuni finds some more things to try to jumpstart her mother's memory so that they can prove she and Ryu aren't related, her own name is leaked to the press! I understand why Maki needs the money from a big scoop, but dayum!

Series Review Mostly spoiler free. A bit of wrap up from Volume 10 but nothing that gives away any surprises.

Well, I definitely was not expecting that. This series is definitely getting better as it goes!
