Rate this book
Collecting stories of crazed comedy mixing a retro edge with contemporary angst: "Precious and Percival," two kids on a tropical island with a magical octopus; "Bachelor Speedbump," the happiest rock group in the world; and "The Lovely Land of Love," an enchanting place of wonder... unless you have to work there. Plus: The smash-hit "Where's It At, Sugar Kat?" as Sugar and Rebecca find themselves dealing with the strangest haunted house you've ever seen; the giraffe obsessed "Laura Longo," friend to all the animals; "Tattletails," two squirrels who live to inform on you; and the titanic struggle of pre-cast concrete against steel frame construction that is "All-Architectural Action!"

If Timothy Leary and Samuel Beckett teamed up to do Saturday morning cartoons this could be the result...haunting and disturbing. There is a distinct undercurrent of nihilism in this book; the cartoon images just add to a feeling of apprehension as you read on. The art is amazing - a very unique book that is well worth the read.
