What is the Matisse Puzzle Project?
There are three layers to the puzzle. First is there a secret Matisse masterpiece painted in Tahiti which transformed his muse?
Second - by what magic do the Matisse cut-outs inspire us today?
Third - could we create a story-telling about it via the magic of social media which blurs the distinction between ‘fictional’ and ‘real’ characters?
The Matisse Puzzle team invite you to join them on the journey to solve the puzzles…..

I read this years ago, using some CoVid isolation time to clear out my work bookshelf.

Scrolling back through this book (written in 2002), I’m quite impressed by their predictions. Nothing earth-shattering, but there’s certainly no egg on the authors’ faces.

Also has quite practical examples of structured future thinking etc.

Worth a quick look if you’re into this kind of thing.

Effortless, easy, and sometimes annoying book. Sometimes I have the impression that the authors do not know what is the strategy. Especially when they used the term strategic planning. (I recommend: The Rise and Fall of Strategic Planning, written by Henry Mintzberg). Apart from the jarring "The power of standing in the future" I describe as a book popularizing strategic foresight without ambition to deepen the topic. This book is a warm-up for those who are just starting to get interested foresight. Although it seems to me that a better start would be to read Peter Schwartz's The Art of the Long View.
