Rate this book
From The Green Berets to Apocalypse Now and Platoon , the cinematic legacy of the Vietnam War is vast, intense and now, for the first time, is documented as a single genre, in one single volume. ?? Search & Destroy contains illustrated essays covering over 300 movies, including documentaries. It examines some of the most controversial and psychotic characters in cinematic history, such as Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver , Dennis Hopper in Tracks and Sylvester Stallone in First Blood . From the brutal field of combat, to the flashbacks and demons that followed, Search & Destroy examines the cult classics through to the most recent Vietnam movies, still breaking box-office records today. ?
