Blinded to the Present...Avoiding the Future...Running from the Past
The Smutketeers Present: A Kinky Christmas Carol!
The Knight Family is a wealthy, powerful Chicago clan that knows everything there is to know about making money—but they have plenty to learn about love. In this three series novella—Eden Bradley's Getting Scrooged, Robin L Rotham's Not So Tiny Tim and R.G. Alexander's Marley in Chains—you’ll meet Holly Knight, her nephew Tim, and her cousin Marley Knight-Williams as they face their ghosts, fulfill their fantasies and finally discover the magic of Christmas.
Blinded to the present…
Holly Knight doesn’t have time for Christmas. As the head of Knight Enterprises in Chicago, she doesn’t have time for anything, not even a personal life—other than her brief, secret liaisons with men who remain strangers. Until a new stranger comes to town…
Ebenezer Hall is a ‘closer’. His job: negotiate a merger with a woman who is as notorious for being a hard-ass as he is for being a charmer no one can resist—and he’s not above mixing business with pleasure as long as it’ll get him what he wants.
The chemistry is sizzling hot, and things get even hotter when Ben’s friends and long-time lovers Justin and Kit arrive in Chicago. Three gorgeous men are even more exciting than one, and Holly’s body is sated in ways she’s never even dreamed of. But she can’t allow herself to be distracted for long—her priority is always business…and protecting her heart.
Can an infamous playboy and a hard-hearted corporate mogul ever admit to their heart’s desires? Or will it take a little holiday magic for them to realize that all they want for Christmas is each other?
Warning: Contains all ingredients for the perfect kinky holiday: Three men demonstrating blow-job techniques—on each other—because the author couldn’t resist. Neither can Holly. Neither will you. A little sensual domination, because Ben can’t resist. Neither can Holly. Or Justin. Or Kit. Put it all together with some Christmas magic and mix—vigorously. Served hot. Best enjoyed with a side of sex toys.

Reviewed for THC Reviews Getting Scrooged is a super-steamy Christmas novella about an over-worked corporate mogul with something to prove, who never takes time out for herself. She finally finds her match in the man who is sent to negotiate a corporate merger between one of her companies, a small publishing house, and the larger one that is his employer. Holly and Ben were decent characters, but I felt like they were a little too much alike. Both had crappy lives growing up and both have driven, type-A personalities, but each for their own reasons. Holly’s dad always wished she was a boy to whom he could pass on his company, so she never quite felt like she measured up to his standards. Even though he passed away, she still feels like she has to prove to herself that she can be the kind of businessperson her father could have been proud of. As such, she drives herself into the ground, never taking time out except to occasionally have anonymous, no-strings sex with strangers she meets in bars. She turns forty on Christmas Eve and feels like life has passed her by and perhaps she’s missing out on something by not having a relationship. Ben, on the other hand, seems to have a pretty good handle on having fun and is driven more by the thrill of the hunt, so to speak. However, much like Holly, he isn’t excited about the upcoming holiday season. I guess I prefer for the hero and heroine to be more different – not polar opposites, but different enough that I feel like they’re going to genuinely enrich each other’s lives – and I didn’t necessarily sense that with Holly and Ben. Also, their personalities were just a little too far removed from my own for me to be able to fully relate to them.
Where the author seems to excel is in her love scenes that, overall, are smokin’ hot. Holly and Ben alone are steamy enough, but add in Ben’s two friends and sometimes lovers, Kit and Justin, and their love scenes could start a four-alarm fire.;-) The menage is only a temporary one, though, to fulfill one of the wishes on Holly’s bucket list, when I usually prefer them to be more permanent. However, I did enjoy that all three men are Brits, because it’s somewhat rare to find foreigners in American-set contemporary romances.
As much as I enjoyed the hot sex scenes, though, I’m not usually one to allow my brain to turn to mush because of them. Even making allowances for the characterizations, which were admittedly pretty decent for a novella, there were still a few little things that kept it from being a five-star read for me. First, I thought the author could have done a better job with blocking during dialogue. Sometimes the conversation runs on for a while with little or no character actions in between lines. The love scenes, while hot, were just a tad too chatty for my taste as well. Lastly, the whole story takes place over about four weeks time, during which there are big jumps forward in the story and a nearly two-week span where Holly and Ben are apart, so having them fall in love and marry so quickly perhaps wasn’t quite as believable as it could have been. However, I’ll allow that a little Dickensian magic on the side made it a bit easier to swallow. So overall, despite a few minor issues, Getting Scrooged was still a pretty enjoyable read. It was my first story by Eden Bradley, but certainly good enough to make me curious what she can do with a longer story format.
Note: This book contains explicit language and sexual situations, including spicy M/F and M/M interactions, as well as a M/F/M/M menage, use of sex toys and anal play, which some readers may find offensive.
Looking for a fun Christmas-themed fantasy-come-to-life? Look no further--Eden Bradley delivers!
Holly Knight, our workaholic heroine, is nearing a major milestone birthday, and her cousin Marley hauls her out for a girls' night out. While blissedly sloshed, the two create life "to do" lists--Holly's includes lots of things nice AND naughty that she's never made the time to try. Her life to date has mainly been about proving herself worthy, the best. She's inherited the family business and she's been determined to see that succeed, and succeed well.
A potential merger for her company brings her face to face with Ebeneezer "Ben" Hall, a gorgeous man and certainly a match for her professionally. It remains to be seen whether he will be her Christmas present as well.
Ms. Bradley does a great job creating a hot holiday treat with a sweet core. Holly and Ben are likeable as two people who have arrived at a point in life where they come to realize they might be missing part of the big picture, and more importantly, part of that picture might be sitting right in front of them. Not just in terms of a physical satisfaction (although Ms. Bradley does deliver that breathtakingly well also!) but with an emotional connection and answering the unspoken desires of the heart.
I loved this book. It didn't take the trajectory I thought it would...and I thoroughly enjoyed the surprises. Plus HOT! As all of Eden's books are. An excellent read, any time of the year.
The first of the three Kinky Christmas books starts with a foursome. I believe they started with the correct amount of kinky! ;) Holly is a likable character and you feel sorry for her workaholic ways. She is still trying to make her dad happy even though he passed away several years ago. Ben (Ebenezer) is a hunky British man who you can't help but want to enjoy some fun with. After he finds Holly's bucket list he is determined to help her realize some of these dreams. The bucket list is fun and isn't all kinky or sex related stuff. I will admit I wouldn't mind doing some of the things on her list-an no I won't tell you which ones!! You find yourself really hoping that these two can find away to stay together. The nods to the old Christmas names make me smile too: Ebenezer and Frost. This is a fun Christmas read that will have you laughing and sighing all the way.
This was a brilliant read;-).I loved it was very intense at times between the 2 characters...the sex was very steamy but with an element of loving intimacy between them;-).Also the 3 some was very intense it was a fantasy Holly wanted to live and in a way I think it freed both Ben and her from their controlling pasts so they could move forward with their relationship.I did cry when he professed his love to her it was.so beautiful..such a sweet love story with a twist in the beginning It was nice that all the story wasnt about hardcore rough sex...it really did have an element of sensuality and feelings were slso.involved in the physical side of their relationship;-)
So I read these a little out of order but so did not matter. Have tissues ready I was crying like a baby in parts of the book. I loved Holly's bucket list and how Ben started out to help the deal along when he found her list but then ended up falling of her. Great Christmas story that had a great blend of drama, romance and smutty goodness. Highly recommended!
steamy sexy book. this felt like there was a sorry to go along with the sex. I went in with erotica in mind add I read this and was pleasantly surprised with more!
Holly met Ben through a merger deal between their companies. The chemistry between them was electric. Only a few nights before Holly and her cousin Marley had made a bucket list for Holly to do before her 40th birthday on Christmas eve.
When out for dinner with Holly, her bag is knocked over by a waiter and her list falls out, only for Ben to find. He decides it would be a good idea to help Holly fulfil her dreams. The question is, will he be found out, and what would be the consequences?
Holly Knight has been too busy with life to worry about romance, but when her bestie gets her tipsy, and persuades her to write down a sexy bucket list, and it's found by her hot, kinky, would-be business partner, Ebenezer, aka Ben... mischief ensues.
While technically this is romance - we get our HEA, in the end - it's a very hot, explicit novella with a BDSM theme that happens during the Christmas holidays. If you're averse to explicit sexytimes or kink, give it a pass. Or, if you're into that sort of thing *raises hand,* pick it up.
Read this from the free Amazon ebook "Hot For The Holidays" which is a collection of 13 sexy holiday novellas.
This is worth the read and the only reason I did not give 5 stars is because at some point I thought the story went on to long with not much happening and then so good point just went way to fast. But past that a very fun read with not one but three sexy British lads.
"Getting Scrooged" by Eden Bradley is the first in a trio of deliciously erotic tales that give a twist to the famous Christmas classic. Holly Knight is thrown into company with Ebenezer (Ben) Hall during a major business negotiation but quickly realizes that she is ready to change her pattern and become intimate with someone who actually knows who she is instead of an anonymous lover. Ben has definite ideas about what he wants in a lover and he is delighted when he learns that Holly has a list of her own, including a few kinky items. Can he get through her list before she catches on or will he find that there are drawbacks to becoming involved with the attractive executive?
This erotic novella was a fun seasonal read that conjures up the allure of the season even as it pays homage to a well-known tale. I loved the role reversal and the interaction between the British hero and the American executive as they learn more about each other. The incandescent scene between Ben, his two buddies and Holly is quite a delightfully steamy interlude although I did think Holly was awfully nonchalant about the surprise. The resolution is a little forced and not quite believeable to me but this still was an entertaining read and I enjoy the way the story can be read as a stand-alone but will be enhanced by the other two tales in the trilogy.
A copy of this title was provided in exchange for an honest review.
This novella is the first in the linked holiday trilogy and it certainly started with a bang! As the cover suggests, this isn't a simple one-on-one romance; this is a no holds barred sexy tale with a festive twist!
Ben Hall is in town to close a deal with the lovely Holly and he isn't above using sex to get what he wants. When he finds her sexy bucket list, he realizes that working through it with her would allow him to have his cake and eat it!
Holly can't believe her luck when the beautiful Ben (aka Ebenezer) starts treating her to her hearts desire (well, a little further down her body than that was writing that list to be perfectly honest.... :D) He involves her in a four-way, throws in a little Domination and a whole host of sex toys. But Holly isn't aware that he's found her list....will she be happy with him when she finds out?
Eden Bradley always writes sexy tales that I usually adore and this one was no exception. It was a very hot tale of sex between two very relationship wary individuals. I loved the chemistry between them both and it added a little more spice to an already panty-drenching tale. Holly was a very stubborn lady and it was a lots of fun to see her relax into her sexuality with the help of the much younger dream-boat. Ben was (of course) a Xmas hating man who was quite manipulative but gets shown the error of his ways!
Now, If only she'll write Justin and Kit's tale......

I knew I wanted to read these stories from the beginning! I mean, put aside that they are some of my favorite authors writing them. A nice kinky twist on a Holiday Classic is just what I needed to jump start my holiday spirit! When you add in the "oh so mysterious" Mr. Frost, who seems to be everywhere and know all, the stage is set!
A drunken bucket list! Only Eden Bradley could think of a twist like that. This story was hot from the get go. A heroine who devoted her life to business and only indulged herself with meaningless sexual encounters. A hero who is so hot he was scorching my Kindle, with an English accent to boot. (I have a serious lust for a man with an accent) I couldn't put it down. As he made the items on her list come true I was torn between "awww, so sweet" and "conniving jerk" Being sneaky and underhanded to get what you want never ends well.
For a novella (more than a short story, less than a full length novel) there was a lot packed into this awesome story. I wanted Holly to wake up and smell the pine trees. I wanted Ben to stop and realize he was doomed for a crash and burn. I finished it and was immediately ready to get to the next installment. You see, even though they are 3 different stories by 3 different authors, they all overlap. So onto the next:
Holly Knight is a workaholic; she doesn't have a personal life and she certainly doesn't have time for Christmas. She's got a business deal to finalise with 'closer' Ebenezer Hall who is determined to use his charm to get the best result for his employer. The chemistry between them is sizzling, and Ben goes all out to win Holly around by making her dreams come true. But the way he comes to know about her fantasies is a bit underhand - when Holly finds out will he lose her forever?
Getting Scrooged is a thoroughly entertaining story, perfect to get you into the spirit of Christmas. It has a good storyline with interesting characters. I really liked Ben, he was willing to do whatever it took to make Holly happy - even if it meant calling on two friends to help make her ultimate fantasy come true. I am intrigued by Justin and Kit - I'd love to hear more from them in the future. This book gets a thumbs up - four stars.
This was a fast and hot story of two hedonists that find themselves shocked to the core that their hearts have been claimed by the very person whom they first saw as a game and nothing more. The chemistry between Ben and Holly is playful and teasing at first, but later turns into an inferno of desire. Ben is sweet and charming, blond with a sexy little British accent. He’s not the cookie-cutter character that you might imagine him to be, which is what really made the story for me. As you can see by the cover, there are three hot men that manage to get Holly in bed in one encounter. A threesome had been her fantasy for years and this foursome was definitely more than I expected. There is some scorching male-male action here that was seriously hot. I want to see more of Justin and Kit! A very sexy Christmas story with a sweet HEA and some very funny character names!
The Smutkeeteer's have created a trilogy that tweaks the classic "A Christmas Carol". Great stories that are fun, erotic and tug at the heartstrings. Keep tissues and a cold drink nearby while reading.
In this story by Eden Bradley, "Getting Scrooged", Marley Knight has spent her life working, her life is her office and the occasional one night stand. She has a huge merger to complete, stressed and in need of a break. Marley and her cousin go out to a bar and after making merry, Marley creates a drunken 'bucket list'. When Marley meets Ebeneezer Hall-'Ben', who is brokering the merger for his company, sparks fly. Ben sets out to get the best deal for his company and happens upon Marley's bucket list. the tables get turned on both Ben & Marley and this erotic tale has a sweet HEA.
Holly´s got no time for ties or feelings for other people, she prefers her encounters in the hotel bar, so she can spend the rest of her time alone. During an alcohol intervention from her cousin she relents and writes down a bucket list, one that is topped by her ultimate wish - a threesome with gorgeous men. She soon forgets the list, but when her latest opponent in negotiations stumbles upon it, he gets some ideas of his own. The instant chemistry between them leads to hot encounters, but can she let them grow into something more? Maybe with the help of mr Frost.. Quick read, smutty fluff and a foursome that will scorch your socks off =)
I had a few issues with Ben because one thing is enjoy the moment and have fun, but he stole a private list from Holly and pushed an orgy on her, without talking about the subject before.
I enjoyed the sex and the way Holly managed to change her life and try to reconnect with her family but I agree with her that Ben needed to beg forgiveness.
Both of them had problems connected with Christmas and their family, but Ben he messed a business because he wanted to have fun and forget about real life.
Prepare for a totally kinky Christmas! Loved Holly's bucket list, I may have to steal a few of her ideas. Ben has such nice friends. Everyone should have nice friends like Ben. All three stories in the series intertwine and work well together.
Stand alone - HEA - Book 1 of A Kinky Christmas Carol series Ends at 72% on my Kindle.
there is some similarities to the classic with the names within the book but it is different...kinky and good holiday story. There was a few errors (two to be exact) that he was she and her should of been him but I was able to hurled over them.
