Understanding White Privilege: Creating Pathways to Authentic Relationships Across Race (Teaching/Learning Social Justice) by Kendall Frances (2012-12-13) Paperback
This is one of the best books I've read YET on understanding and unpacking white privilege.
Kendall takes the reader along a steady path, layering the many facets of white privilege until it is impossible to not "get it." This book is less incendiary (not saying that's a bad thing) than tutorials in this space - (I'm thinking the breathtaking "White Women - EVERYTHING YOU ALREADY KNOW ABOUT YOUR OWN RACISM AND HOW TO DO BETTER" - By Regina Jackson and Saira Rao) - but it builds solutions into every chapter. A book to start again after immediately finishing.
