We got this book when our family was blessed with our first dachshund years ago. And six dachshunds later, it’s still a wonderful resource for all of our dachshund questions!

This is an excellent book for those who are considering getting a dog and are not sure if a Dachshund is got them. This book gives great detail regarding the different types, sizes, etc.
From birth to senior age this book shows you how to train your Doxy, especially the Do’s and Dont’s of handling various behaviors.
For myself this was a refresher course for me because I need to re-train my 6 year old Doxy and my new 1 year old on potty training and barking.

I have to laugh that the ONLY book our new dachshunds puppies got ahold of and chewed
the corners up, was ironically THIS book, lol! Excellent book if you are new dog owners like
we are! Also, I loved having it be breed specific - it was just what we needed. :) And we LOVE
our cute puppies! :)

This book was my "go to" book when I became a dachshund mommy. Although I did not purchase this book until my doxie was almost 3 years old...this book is fun to read and educational.

Helped me understand my doxie's personality a bit more. Nice to know the stubbornness is not just instilled in my sweet angel-faced puppy dog but rather doxies as a whole.
