Are you a bedtime reader? Do find yourself either falling asleep half way through a chapter or staying awake way past what you wanted? Well this series will help either situation. It is the story of Tristan who happens to own a publishing company and how he uses it find his lost love, Kiera. He has tried everything to track down the only love of his life. Now he has come up with a way to use his company to find her. He publishes tales from people who write their stories of love and sexcapades. He is hoping Kiera will be brave enough to send in a submission of their lives together. But along the way we get to read what others have lived.
Explaining the premise takes longer than actually getting hooked into this book. The beauty of this concept is each story is only 10 to 15 minutes long. So if you need a quick fix before starting another long book or you need something just to fall asleep satisfied with reading something with an actual beginning and end these well written tales are for you.
London Saint James does a fine job with descriptions and storylines. Her writing capabilities allow her to tell the tales and be understood without an overload of wordplay. It actually feels like your friends are retelling you their experiences. The hot steamy sex scenes are done to perfection.
BTW even though each tale does have an ending but the overall tale of Tristan and Kiera will continue to more volumes and I will be waiting for their release dates.

The first story is a dominatrix who makes a living by her trademark red stilettos. Hot and dominant, this woman takes no crap from any man. Well, that is until her former Dom, Marcus, decides to stop in for a visit. Hold on to your hats for some steamy sex and page turning action.
The second story is a woman searching for more in her life. After a vanilla life that had been ideal except for the small fact that her husband was cheating on her with his secretary, Sherri has decided she wants to dip her toes on the wild side. Will a blind date with a Dom lead to more than she bargained for?
The third story is one where things are not always as they seem. Computer geek Marissa Sanders has to take a trip out to a local kink club to provide some support until she gets a little more hands-on than she intended at the hands of a local Master.
Each of these stories has a great blend of kink and subtle relationship ties. They all have much more going on than meets the eye and as I read through them for the second time, I enjoyed the collection even more than I did the first time around. I also decided I really, really want a pair of red stilettos.
The kink factor is moderate, but enough to make for a lively collection of short erotic encounters. If you want a great on the go story, this collection is a sexy way to break up the day.

I really enjoyed reading books 1 & 2 in the Dark Tales Diaries series by London Saint James. The books were both very short at aprox 50 pages but it was seriously smoking HOT! The book is actually 3 mini short stories in one and I was intrigued by the fact that not only were there the sexy shorts but that there is a deeper story underneath that has you waiting to read the next book to see if Tristan will ever find the women he's looking for.
Thinking about it, this book kind of reminds me of the dirty stories that you find in some well known "mens" magazines. Where men can write in and tell sexy little stories of something that's happened to them sexucally in the past. And you know you've read those.....even if you've never admitted it! Each story starts with a small written letter from the character to Tristan, explaining what there story is about and it's followed by a short story. In reality each story is more like a super sexy scene but holy crap was it HOT!
I highly recommend this book to readers who love a very sexy quick read. This is not a romance novel. The short stories are based mostly on a sexual encounter and not on the actual characters themselves. But if you like hot and quick I can pretty much guarantee you will love these books!

2-in-1 review of Vol 1 and 2
Open your mind and set your fantasies free.
Sometimes I just want to float away into a fantastical world where my inhibitions are stripped away and my fantasies come to live, lived vicariously through fiction. This anthology of short stories provided such an escape.
The author writes a beautiful tale about on a man on a quest to find his lost love and searches for her in the pages of peoples dark tales.
My favourite tale has to be Red Stilettoes. There's nothing sexier than a man who knows exactly the right buttons to press to make a strong woman submit willingly.
The Observation Deck is a close second. I have a thing for sexy professors and the way this one got his girl is to be enjoyed again and again.
The other stories, Leather's Edge, Safe Word, The Top Floor and Maestro are still great bite sizes reads and you can devour this anthology during your lunch time.
If you enjoy erotic short stories, don't miss these two books. Loved them.

It's gonna be hard for me to review without giving too much away but I'll try...;) Tristan is searching for his missing love and he'll stop at nothing to find her as owner of Blackthorn Printing he's created a interesting dark way to find her .. Stories of Dark Tales in hopes Keira might write a letter. Mistress Guinevere with her red stilettos is a dominatrix and loves every minute of it until her Marcus comes back into her life, wow is all I can say, her fetishes are strange to some but not Marcus. Sherri and Thomas so freaking sexy, I like a take charge guy and Thomas nailed it. Marissa and Nash much surprises and sexy as hell, my favorite in volume one. This is a very short read ( 4 chapters) so I feel I can't judge it by comparing it to other books. The story is about Tristan , who we actually know very little about, as he searches for Kiera, his long-lost love. What bothered me a bit is that the author never really gives a backdrop of their relationship, or why they split up. We only know he's looking for her and making a compilation of erotic stories to find her. The writing style is truly exceptional, I would have LOVED for there to be more to this book.
There are three different short erotic stories which are all very hot and have their own style, as they all focus on a particular sexual encounter in each character's lives. Overall, a great quick read.

Really great short sex stories I couldn't stop reading them!! It amazed me and intrigued me. it's like the author knew what the reader needed and just put the amazing thoughts on paper and made a really great story. I'd like to say that this is a 1 person POV but it's not far from it ( have to read to see what I mean. I really enjoyed this story the cover is Hott, and sexy. Hell the mini stories are even hotter!!

I love the concept behind London Saint James' Dark Takes Diaries series. Not only do we get glimpses of Tristan's obsessive search for Keira, but we also get wonderfully sexy snapshots of the letter writers' stories as they divulge the secrets of their lives to The Dark Tales Diaries.
Each story is unique and very well written. As a reader short on time, I love that I can read a story or two in a sitting. Kudos to Ms. saint James for her sexy and addicting series.

2-in-1 Review of Vol 1 & 2 of Dark Tales Diaries by London Saint James
****Four out of Five Stars***
From a mistress with a fetish for her red heels, to a professor indulging in a little play with his assistant on the observation deck, to even an empty nester mom vying for her first big O--yeah, you read that correctly--there's definitely something for everyone in Ms. James' Dark Tales Diaries volumes. Kinks of all kinds are opened up for the characters, as well as the reader, to explore in these stories. No two are the same, and each leaves its own impression if I may say so myself. While each story is short in its own right, I would say there was a decent lead-up, arc, and very satisfying end for every tale.
I learned something interesting while listening to the Dark Tales, and thank you Ms. James, because it was one heck of an eye-opener for me. I'm not big on the BDSM while reading unless there's a Domme in play, but holy mother ... I do love to listen even without the Domme there to flex her control.
Thrust was a great narrator for these tales. A perfect pick, really. His voice is edgy with just enough of a man's growl to make it work. I have to give him props on his vocal acting, seriously. He brings the dialog to life with his voice.
I was thoroughly pleased with the reading and the length. It kept me engaged and entertained. I'm not sure a particularly long novel in audio format would have worked as well for me as these erotic tales did. Four stars well-done and I'm already looking at the next short audio read to get on my phone from London.

Tristan is obsessed with finding Kierra , his love that he lost.
He starts Dark Tales Diaries where he receives mail of people's fantasies and desires and it's as if we're spoilt with stories within a story.
We're introduced to Mistress Guinevere and her red stilettos. Then there is Sherri ,recently divorced ,looking for something she's never experienced and she's 'bound' to find it in 'The Leathers Edge' and finally we meet Marissa the computer geek and IT gal!
Let's just say all is not as it seems and all the characters play their roles well!
At the end of Dark Tales #1 our mysterious Kierra still hasn't been found. Let's keep our fingers crossed that she makes an appearance in Dark Tales #2

This is an interesting idea for a book. Three stories of naughtiness make up this novella. All three "tales" are of the kinky nature involving domination and submission.
Gwin and Tristan are super hot together and really deserve a full length novella.
The neighbors were somewhat bland to me, yes BDSM was involved but I found the narration of them both annoying.
As far as the computer programmer seeking a hot interlude. This was also just Okay for me. I found the story lacking passion and angst which left it just blah.

This “book” hit a nerve with me. The story idea is good....but... The BIG issue I have with this “book” is that it is approximately 49 pages. That is not a Volume; it is a little taste of what is to come....
As it stands I have no emotional connection with Tristan and no interest in reading more to find out what he is looking for. Unfortunately-I will not be one that is sucked into this buying trap.
